My best friend and I spent a long weekend at "The Cabin." What we loved: quiet, privacy, proximity to horses, wood stove and hiking. We could have breakfast and lunch at cabin and great dinners in Malibu. Or we could have breakfast and lunch in Malibu and a lovely dinner in the cabin. Mountains and beach. Someplace we will return to.
Idyllic. Private. Gabrielle is also attentive and generous.
I really enjoyed my weekend away with Gabrielle's cabin.
it is as great as the photo's show, a great place for 1 or 2 people.
Great view over the ocean, great appliances, good shower, coffee machine, comfortable bed and warm woodstove (something you normally will not need in warm and sunny California).
Also as a host she makes you feel really welcome and totally respects your privacy.
Definitely recommending this place.
Had a great time in this cabin!! The view is amazing. The only thing I would suggest is to figure out a way to get the hot tub to work better. I had seen from another post that it didn't work well so I wasn't surprised by that, but it would have been really nice to have been able to use it. Spoke with Gabrielle a couple of times and she is a very nice lady! Wine was delicious as well! Would definitely recommend this place to others!!
Gabrielle is a wonderful host. The perfect cabin for a long weekend away!
A perfect get away from it all vacation! In the mountains and then 20 mins later the ocean it doesn't get ant better than this.
Perfect ! I will say this do not turn where (website hidden) maps tells you to turn, make sure you see the McReynolds road sign before you turn.
The hot tub could use a little update just didn't get hot enough, other than that this is just a little piece of heaven
We loved our stay at Sage Hill. It was a beautiful and tranquil home away from home with a gorgeous view of the ocean and surrounded by nature, yet just a 15 minute drive to beaches, restaurants, and everything we needed. Gabrielle was a wonderful host, accommodating, flexible, and made us feel at home right away. We definitely appreciated the lovely wine, cheese, fruits, and jams upon our arrival, and it was a perfect space for our 3 year old and almost walking 9 month old to hang out and explore. We hope to visit again!
The place is great, wonderful location and really everything you need for a relaxing stay. The view, the garden, and the grounds are spectacular. And it is quiet, really, really quiet. Unfortunately, we never actually meant Gabrielle, but she left great things for us and the place was super clean. Looking forward to going back one day.
We were so happy to come across Gabrielle's cottage for a family get-away weekend. The view of the pacific from the large front porch and garden was a delight - a perfect place for early morning coffee and evening dinner. The community pool is a great addition to the package. Gabrielle was always helpful and provided fresh eggs from her coop, homemade jams, and a good Syrah from her vinyard. It's an excellent place to get away -- and still be an hour from central LA. We'll be looking for an opportunity to return. For those not accustomed to steep canyon driving, we'd recommend daylight arrival.
Our time at cabin in the pines was fantastic! I booked this cabin for the long weekend to celebrate my boyfriend's birthday. We arrived to a clean and quaint cottage with wine, cheese, fruit,English muffins, milk, butter, crackers and jam waiting to greet us! The space was perfect for us. It felt very private and secluded though we were only 15 mins to the pch. We brought food for the weekend that we were able to squeeze into the mini fridge and we were able to cook a full breakfast every day using the provided kitchen ware.
Gabrielle was very welcoming and very responsive to any of our concerns checking in and out. She gave us a private tasting of her wine and answered all our silly questions about wine and grapes and how it's grown etc etc (we are a couple of novices when it comes to wine). We highly recommend this place to others who are looking for a great getaway!
