My place is a 2 bedroom apartment right on the beach, within walking distance of some of the best that downtown Cocoa Beach has to offer, and only a short drive to Kennedy Space Center. Check out my photos for more!
The common area is spacious and fun (cable TV + PS3 + books), with the two bedrooms for when you need a break. My place can easily fit 2 people and up to 5 in a pinch. It all depends on how much you like each other! To clarify, the master bedroom has a full bed, the second bedroom has a full air mattress, and the sofa is unbelievably comfy.
Aside from the beach access, which is phenomenal, there are great restaurants and other fun activities (mini golf with gators, wildlife preserves, and fishing to name a few). Kennedy Space Center is frequently overlooked, but if you have any interest in the vast beyond, take a look!
There's no train as many city dwellers are used to, but you can still kick up your feet and use the Space Coast Area Transit (forgive the acronym). This is a bus service that will get you quite a few places ((website hidden)).
My sister stayed here on my reservation. Andrew was a very clear and communicative host. He accommodated a late arrival well. I did not see the place but my sister indicated it was comfortable and fine. She was not able to find the coffee maker although telltale signs such as filters and coffee grounds suggest it was indeed there somewhere.
We stayed at Andrew's place during our trip to see the Maven launch at Cape Canaveral. Our family enjoyed taking walks on the beach in his backyard and swimming in the pool. When we decided to leave early for SeaWorld after a successful launch, Andrew was accommodating.
We are a family of four from Germany and really enjoyed our stay at Andrew's place. We have never stayed as close to the ocean and loved it. Within minutes we were at the beach and took the buggy boards and had lots of fun in the waves. Afterwards we couldn't resist diving into the huge spotless clean pool. We missed a coffee maker but bought a coffeefilter and real coffee and left it for future coffee addicts. Our girls (9 and 12) had some problems sleeping on the air matress together so the older one moved to the sofa. :-) We highly recommand Andrew's place!!!!
Andrew is a communicative and friendly host, and it was a pleasurable experience working with him. His apartment home is indeed spacious and steps away from the beach. The ocean vistas from the floor-to-ceiling sliding doors in the common area and master bedroom are outstanding, and they tend to command your attention all throughout the day. His home is tastefully furnished, very comfortable, super clean and made for a relaxing environment whether I was inside or outside on the roomy porch. The place just had great energy. The porch was a lovely place to have coffee, cocktails, do some reading and have deep conversations while being serenaded by the sound of the ocean and bathed in gentle breezes, sunlight or moonlight. I also appreciated the full kitchen, the dining table, the giant cable TV, A/C, and fast wifi as well. The bathrooms and bedrooms are nice. Parking is just outside the front door. This location is close to great restaurants, drug/grocery stores, the post office, the library and gas stations. I highly recommend Andrew as a host as well as his apartment home as a place to stay! I hope to return to his lovely home again in the future. August 2013
Andrew's apartment was really nice, it is as he said very spacious, comfortable, and just in front of the beach. It is very close to the Kennedy Space Center, restaurants, and other ammenities. Andrew himself was a very straight forward person, really nice to deal with and the whole experience was very smooth. I highly recommend Andrew and his Cocoa Beach apartment.
