Juan Carlos is a gracious host and goes out of his way to help his guests feel at home. Even though we arrived and left at all hours of the day and night Juan Carlos made an effort to make sure we were always taking car of while in the Sacred Valley. I'd highly recommend staying here for anyone visiting the Cusco area who wants to be within easy distance of Machu Pichu. The grounds are lovely and in the future we will make sure to plan our trip details around Juan Carlos' advice.
Staying in Sacred Valley with Juan Carlos was a very nice experience. The bungalows & the gardens were so beautiful!
Juan Carlos is a great host. We were out in the garden sitting under the shade of a tree around noon one day, just reading & talking, and here comes Juan Carlos with tequenios & two glasses of cold beer. Best tequenios we have ever had!!
Nice, beautiful, peaceful place.
Why do I prefer Airbnb over hotels? Because of hosts like Juan Carlos. I had not thought to stay in Urubamba until I saw this listing and read his reviews. My intent was to find somewhere in the Sacred Valley that would offer respite from the tourism industry and offer me a truer sense of the Peruvian culture – I succeeded. My travel buddy and I made friends with the local market proprietor, found great restaurants, and tested our Spanish as we explored this beautiful town. The staff (Rosio) cleaned the bungalow daily, delivered a continental breakfast at a time of our choosing, and even helped with laundry! I can't recall how many hours I spent in the garden's hammock, yet it gave me the perfect excuse to slow down and enjoy this paradise. I'll not soon forget playing fetch with his dogs and the many other experiences resulting from our week-long stay in the Bungalow. I highly recommend that you spend at least three nights here as your home base for exploring the region.
We are 3 mature ladies and stayed here for 5 days in Nov. Carlos arranged a ride in a private ride for us 3 ladies to Urubamba and he called the driver as soon as we landed at the airport to make sure we were OK
He gave us a warm welcome and there was a welcome basket of fruit and water and fresh flowers. We had two adjoining cabins with a kitchen each, TV. It is set in beautiful garden with chairs. breakfast was fresh and included hot coffee, juice, breads, jams and cheese.
Juan went out of his way to drive us to nearby Ollantaytambo and was very helpful with suggested trips and how to get there.
Beds were comfortable, good quality linens- the place is exactly as shown.
Juan was a great host that cares about the comfort of his guests.
Staying with Juan Carlos and Laura is always a great experience! Wonderful hosts in one of the most beautiful and peaceful properties in the Sacred Valley. Super easy to get to the train station and close to the best restaurants in the area. I will miss having the natural, hearty breakfast with local fruit and jams. Thanks for their hospitality and for having the friendliest staff! I will come back soon!
After 14 hours of flight and transit, what a delightful surprise was awaiting us: an oasis of serenity, quietness and peace. Not only the bungalow was neat, tastefully decorated and cosy, but the hosts were amazing, they made us feel immediately at home. They provided a basket of fruits, mate de coca, bottled water and showed us around the 2 000 square meters premises composed of gardens, running stream and a diversity of fruit trees and flowers. Our bungalow was comfortably equipped with a complete kitchenette, dining room, fire place and lounge. The beds are covered with down and quality cotton sheets, including daily cleaning service. The other daily surprise was breakfast: fresh fruits juice, a variety of breads and cereals, divine scramble eggs and cold cuts and cheese. In addition, the hosts advices and recommendations made our trip a wonderful experience. Highly recommended.
