Our stay at Juan Carlos' cottage was one that far surpassed our expectations. The beautiful garden where we could sit and enjoy the flowers and watch the hummingbirds and butterflies flittering around helped us gain energy back after hiking or visiting ancient Inca sites. Juan Carlos is very well known in both Urubamba and Huayllabamba and allowed us to experience an authentic Peruvian ceremony called "Virgen Natividad in nearby town of Huayllabamba. Here we felt welcomed by all the local people even though we are three Gringoswith little knowledge of Spanish. Wonderful people here!!!!

Absolutely stunning and secluded piece of Peruvian paradise! The bungalows are amazing and very clean. Juan Carlos was an outstanding host. He was very helpful with transportation everywhere. He was also very helpful with recommendations of restaurants and activities in the Sacred Valley. I couldn't have asked for a better experience for accommodations. I was very lucky to have stumbled upon this beautiful accommodation. Thank you for everything Juan Carlos!

We rented 2 of the one bedroom bungalows. They were connected with a small hallway, so it's just perfect for families. They were both very charming, comfortable, nicely decorated, and clean (and also cleaned daily). They both had their own kitchenettes, and Juan carlos provided us with some ham, cheese, fruits, juice, and coffee for the 3 days we were there. Very nice touch. Location is a great base for exploring the sacred valley and Machu Picchu. Lots of good restaurants in the area for all different budgets, and Juan Carlos was an invaluable source of information for choosing where to go. Would recommend.

Response from Juan Carlos:
Lame to la confusión, es la primera vez que me sucede. En la web se explica que los bungalows son dobles y hay dos de ellos con la opción de cama adicional dentro del mismo bungalow obviamente. Decidiste estar independiente por eso es que ocupaste el otro bungalow con una tarifa especial. Igualmente veré con airbnb como poder evitar un nuevo inconveniente. Saludos Juan Carlos

Juan Carlos is a great host. He was extremely responsive and helped us with taxi's, restaurants, and ideas. The bungalow was clean and he provided breakfast for us the first and second day free of charge. Juan Carlos also saved us a 6 hour bus ride by picking up our bags at our hostel in Cusco while we were returning back from hiking machu pichu. Overall, I would highly recommend this Airbnb!

This is a beautiful villa hidden in a seemingly poor village. Juanca is super nice and very knowledgeable in Peruvian food and the travelling tips. Put it short, everything you need when travelling in Valle Sagrado area. Don't forget to ask him to bring you to Huacatay, best restaurant of my whole trip. 10/10 for sure.

What a beautiful property in the middle of the Sacred Valley! A central location to explore all the sites of the valley from one base, close enough to Urubamba to get a taxi to dinner (or to deliver a pizza after a long day exploring the ruins. Ask Juan Carlos for the driver's phone number!) We especially enjoyed the hummingbirds and flowers in the garden and the views of the surrounding mountains. The bungalow is located off the main road, quiet, secluded and peaceful. The beds are comfortable, water hot, and room clean. It was a truly delightful stay! There isn't a full kitchen, but we had everything we needed to have a delicious and fresh breakfast each morning - coffee maker, hot water heater, toaster, microwave and refrigerator. Juan Carlos might even be able to store some of your luggage if you're headed to Machu Picchu and need to leave something behind due to the weight limit on the train. Thanks again for a great stay, Juan Carlos!

The pictures and listing details were very accurate. Communication with Juan Carlos was easy and he went out of his way to help us, not only with arranging transport to the airport but helping out with taxis during our stay and even restaurants. He even got me more bread to take with me our last morning because I said I loved it so much with the breakfast. The bed was comfy, there were TV channels in English, the windows had screens, nice amount of hot water, and beautiful area. Our only sadness was that the fireplace did not work properly so we could not use it. Do be aware that his place is a 20-30 minute walk into town so if you are looking for a place in the middle of it all, this might not be the place for you. But if you want somewhere with an excellent host in a beautiful setting, then book this bungalow now.
