  • Jennifer continues to maintain very high standards of care, communication, and cleanliness. I truly love her house and it is such a great location for all the things I love doing when I am in downtown Asheville. You can easily walk from her house to, well, everything! It is also close to River Arts District and West Asheville, using a couple of residential streets.
Thanks, Jennifer, for another great stay!

  • My boyfriend and I had a great stay with Jennifer. She is very welcoming, but not at all invasive. The animals were a highlight for us too! Una, the dog with the kindest eyes, and the cats, Sweet Olive and Lelu (spelling?), made it all the more homey. Having lived in Asheville for many years, on the other side of town, I really enjoyed being in the more eclectic area, near the River Arts District but also very close to downtown. Jennifer's mother Sandra was also very kind and fun to talk with! The room itself (we had the Rosemary room) was very comfortable. A small dresser would have been nice, but there is a bench and lots of space in the closet, which includes a shelf. There was also a suitcase stand, so it was more than adequate. The bathroom was clean and stocked with lots of nice soft towels and an array of useful bath products. And lastly, there is a back deck where you can sit and have morning coffee in the sun. And at night, it's fun for a glass of wine before heading out on the town. (Try the Hi-Wire brewery on Hilliard!). I'd definitely recommend staying at this home with Jennifer and her sweet pets...

  • Jennifer is great host. She provides a friendly face and a clean house that is 1/2 the price of a downtown hotel. She also excepted our 1 night reservation only days before arrival.

Beyond Jennifer's control- neighborhood is questionable especially at night. My husband and I were woken up to shouting/arguing in the streets in the wee hours on the morning.

  • Jennifer's home is absolutely gorgeous. She had done an amazing job restoring and decorating. We felt as if we were in a five star hotel. It's a blend of old Victorian charm and modern convenience. Plus the location is great - easily in walking distance from downtown Asheville. If you're looking for a great place to stay, this is it.

  • My boyfriend and I had a wonderful time staying with Jennifer. It was our first AirBnB experience and it was a perfect place to start! The house is beautiful as well as warm and cozy. We stayed in an upstairs bedroom and she had a carafe of water and candles with matches set on a table beside our bed which helped us relax upon getting in really late. She has a cute dog and two cats which were fun to pet while sipping on coffee or tea (the supplies for which she provides). We didn't do any cooking but she let us know the kitchen was free for us to use. We were in the middle of moving across the country and there was plenty of space to park the car with the trailer we were towing. Great place to stay and super easy to walk nearly everywhere in Asheville!

  • The room we got in Jennifer's house was lovely and comfortable. It was a close walk to downtown and we very much enjoyed our stay.

  • Jennifer was an excellent host, and her place is in a perfect location. Asheville is a great city, and Jennifer was happy to answer any questions that we had. Her dog Oona was super sweet, and would greet us at the door whenever we came in. I would recommend Jennifer to anyone staying in Asheville.

  • We had a great time staying here. Very comfortable, clean, and super convenient for walking to all the great downtown restaurants and attractions. Would stay here again when visiting Asheville.

  • One of the most lovely hosts of all time, this place is warm, friendly and Jennifer was wonderfully helpful and kind. Close to the heart of the city, this is a perfect place to stay (and the bed was super comfortable.)

I moved to Asheville in 2014 and am exploring this awesome place just like you! I came from Durham, NC, where I've totally enjoyed being an airbnb host for the past 2 years. I have a background in theatre and radio, and currently enjoy traveling, visiting with friends, hanging out at home, gardening, and working as little as possible. Come meet my super-chill pup, Oona, and her two sidekick cats--we'd love to have you stay at The Fellow Traveler--a charming, laid back, turn-of the-century home--walking distance to downtown Asheville and the River Arts District.
