Prime location in Williamsburg

Apartment - Private room · Broadway, Brooklyn, NY 11211, United States

The Space

At the heart of South Williamsburg, Brooklyn, you'll find a small private room on the 2nd floor of a walk-up with it's own fire escape to use as a balcony with views of the Manhattan skyline.

Guest Access

The space itself has GIANT common area, which you would share with two friendly, working professionals in their 30s. Perfect for a Grad Students or working professionals who wants to spend the weekend in the city. High-speed wi-fi included. Wall A/C unit.

Interaction with Guests

We usually introduce the guests to the apartment and then leave them on their own. My roommate and I typically only use the common area for cooking and dining.

The Neighborhood

The neighborhood boasts incredible food options, including the world-famous Peter Luger, Marlowe and Sons, Diner, Traif, and the newly re-opened Motorino (rated best Pizza in NYC by The New York Times). We're also near bike shops, local boutiques, galleries and bars.

Getting around

Visitors can hop on the quick bike rental station outside for easy access to Manhattan across the nearby Williamsburg Bridge. The apartment is also only 5 blocks to the nearest subway (JMZ train) and 10 minutes walk to the L train or the B62 Bus. 10 minutes to midtown Manhattan on a motorcycle, 20-25 on a bicycle.

  • My girlfriend and I stayed a week at Tom and Todd´s place at the beginning of April and it was great. The location is ideal, less than 3 blocks away from the J line and about 8 from the L line, also just a block and a half from the pedestrian entry to the Williamsburg bridge and the best part of Bedford Avenue. Location aside, the apartment is cozy and the guys are really cool and friendly and gave us awesome recommendations. The room is small but the bed is so comfortable, a good night´s sleep guaranteed! So anyway, thanks again guys!!

  • I stayed at Tom's and Todd's for a week and it was fantastic. Tom is such a wonderful host, very thoughtful and friendly, he even lend me a rain jacket because it was raining so hard my umbrella was useless and shared his dumplings with me after I arrived from the airport! I believe that someone's character shows most in the way s/he deals with problems and since we had a little bump in the beginning I can say by how Tom handled it, he surely is one of the best hosts I have ever met! I only met Todd for a couple of minutes since he was out of town, but he seems very freindly too.
The room is actually nice and not as claustrophobic as it seems, but I liteally only slept there. The living room is really cozy, so I had my morning and evening tea there. The apartmant might not be ideal for someone with dust allergies since there are quite some bookshelves that might need a sweep, but I had no problems with it whatsoever. What is absolutely amazing about the living room is the massage chair! I got totally addicted to it every evening after those hours of walking in the city and miss it alreay!
The location is truly prime, situated between two subway stops for different lines, surrounded by nice bars, restaurants and shops. Definitely try the bagels down the street, they are just sooo good! I spent most of the time in Brooklyn and lower Manhattan, so the location couldn't have been better for me.
I would definitely stay here again if I was to come to NYC!

  • My girlfriend and I had an excellent time in Tom's and Todd's place. The location is great if you are up for something new. We stayed for 3 nights in March 2014 to visit Manhattan and initially selected this area mainly because it was cheaper. To our surprise, we really felt in love with Williamsburg and spend a lot of time there. Nice restaurants, bars and shops, plus a relaxed atmosphere make you want to spend your days and nights here, rather than in Manhattan. But this apparment is a very good hub for both areas. We explored Williamsburg by foot (it's just around the corner) and greater Brooklyn as well as Manhattan (just across the bridge) by bike.
There where constructions going on in the building which resulted in a bit more dirt than usual, but the apartment itself was really clean and cosy. The room is small, but does not feel like a boxroom. Anyway, we used it only for sleeping, and had the spacious living room to prepare breakfast, read the tourist guide or use our laptop.
Unfortunately, we did not have much time to spend with Tom and Todd, because all of us where rarely there. Tom texted me before our arrival and organized the hand over of the keys at a neighboring bar. Everything went trouble-free.

    Overall: Highly recommended!

  • I had an excellent stay with Tom & Todd. Great spot for anyone stopping in NYC. Highly recommend.

  • We had a great stay at Tom's apartment! The apartment is lovely, and the location is just perfect, very close to the Williamsburg bridge so you can walk to Manhattan. Tom and Todd had as well some great recommendations about eating places.

  • Tom's apartment is located very conveniently near the Williamburg bridge, 10 minutes away from the nearest subway station. Nearby there's a station with Citibikes. There are many shops, restaurants and bars in the nabourhood. The bedroom is quite small and the bed is not very wide, but we could use Tom's sitting room and kitchen. He was hardly ever there himself.

  • Tom was helpful enough to show us local places to drink and eat, allowed to store our belongings on the last day before the airport. Neighborhood has plenty of great places, so you should quickly find a destination for your evening if you want to stay in Brooklyn. Otherwise subway is 10 minutes away from the apartment. I will recommend the place to those who want to explore Williamsburg or regular NY visitors with reasonable budget for accommodation (compared to Manhattan apartments). Description is accurate, host was friendly and respectful. Me and my wife enjoyed our stay, thanks to Tom!

  • Great host, great apartment and great location! Would definitely stay here again :)

  • We didn't spend much time in the apartment as there's so much to do in New York but Tom and Todd were good hosts and gave us some sound recommendations of local restaurants - we particularly enjoyed Rye. The room is fairly compact but big enough for all our bags (8 months worth of stuff plus souvenirs! It's actually bigger than it looks in the pictures) and furnished with a comfortable bed. The location is great, with easy access to the subway which is only one stop from Manhattan.

  • We had a wonderful stay in this apartment. The location is fantastic and the bed is extra comfortable. We would highly recommend staying here. Tom and Todd made us feel very welcome into their home. Lots of great restaurants/cafés/bars close by and this location is only a short trip on the subway to manhattan. Would definitely stay here again! Thanks
