About This Listing
Unique house in italian country side with immense garden by the river!
My grandfather was a great smoker and died of lung cancer in 1997. My grandmother is also a great smoker but didn't get lung cancer, instead she got two heart attacks in 2002. Since then she was moved to my aunt. I instead have lived 7 years abroad, and never smoked! On my return home i found this house, where i grew up, in a relatively bad shape.. An immediate feeling of sadness came to me and i decided i should do something about it. So after weeks i did as much DIY as i could to put the house back in form and now i'm seeking your help to finish the job :) All money collected through AirBnb will go towards the restoring of the house.
So let me tell you about this house:
From the outside it's quite big and the living area is on the upper floor that contains 2 bedrooms, 2 living rooms, 1 bathroom and 1 kitchen immersed in an amazing garden of circa 200 mt2 that boasts cherry trees, pines, pear tree, peach tree, roses and many other flowers, the great river arno is at walking distance and my grandfather used to dive in it till the 70s, is not recommended anymore tho :)
About the house: 2 bedrooms, 2 living rooms, 1 bathroom, 1 kitchen. There is a tv but i'm not sure it has a signal however i would be very sad to know people watch tv in this house as there's too much to walk and enjoy nature all around the place.
Signa is a quiet village and from the train station, 10 mins walking distance, you'll be in the heart of Florence in less than 20 mins.
Check in and check out are very flexible since my uncle lives across the street and can welcome you pratically at anytime.
All in all it's a perfect location for couple or families to relax and admire the beauty of Tuscany!

Muchas gracias Jean Franco!
My friend and I stayed here for a couple nights and really enjoyed it. The town is charming, yet still very close and easy to get to Florence. The only disappointing thing was the internet was not working during our stay. Other than that, everything was great and we would have stayed a while longer if we had the time!
My experience was great. My boyfriend and I had a great time talking with Gianfranco!
Very nice old and fresh house (weather was very warm ...). So close to train station : 1/2 hour to be Firenze downtown (10 minutes by feet + 20 minutes by train).Gianfranco (Matteo's uncle) who received us were very nice and attentioned. GPS position should be precised on the annoucement (adress is not anougth ...). So nice week ...

About the Host, Matteo
I was born and raised in Florence from where I moved to cosmopolitan London in 2006 and New York in 2014. I'm professionally self employed so quite flexible with checkin and checkout and life in general. I usually try to accomodate as many guests as possible as i believe people is the real wealth.
I've stayed with Airbnb hosts in New York and Europe for extended periods so I know what it's like to be guest, too. It's the little things that make a big difference. Like providing nice sheets and pillows, lots of towels, and respecting privacy while creating a welcoming atmosphere.
Few of my passions include music, sailing and travelling. It's not unusual you will have all of my property for you while i'm on holiday!
