Palazzo dei Fiori is a suite of apartments located in a lovely historic palazzo. The apartments are recently updated in a beautiful style of traditional and antique Italian furnishings updated with modern touches.
The palazzo has an unbeatable location in a quiet little courtyard, just 100 meters from Via Santa Croce, one of the main streets that bisects the center of town.
Since you will be right in the center of town, you are a 3-5 minute walk from 3 small grocers, 5 or 6 cafes, the main cathedral, 10 restaurants, and a number of shops. It doesn't get more central than this!
Upon entering you will be dazzled by the apartment's tall ceilings with exposed wood and tiles. The living area features tasteful antiques downstairs and a charming loft-level master bedroom upstairs with large double bed. From the balcony windows you will overlook the lovely flower-filled courtyard below.
The kitchen features granite counter tops, a full-sized refrigerator, stove top, bar, and dining table. It is fully equipped with new cookware and serving pieces for six or more people.
The master bathroom is beautifully decorated in red marble tile with skylight and is equipped with a bathtub + shower, sink, toilet, and bidet. The bathroom features a lovely custom counter built from cabinets salvaged from an apothecary. A new washer / dryer is located upstairs in the closet.
The small second bedroom offers sleeping for two people in twin beds (can be made into a double bed) and has its own private bathroom.
Both bedrooms are equipped with air conditioning and are furnished with all new 160 thread count 100% cotton linens, your choice of down or synthetic filled duvets, and your choice of synthetic or down pillows.
You are only a 5-10 minute walk from the train station or the bus station that will take you to Pisa, Viareggio, Firenze, Cinque Terre, and all over Tuscany and the Garfagnana.
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay in this Lucca property. It was, without a doubt a gorgeous, classic apartment. This apartment was everything that was advertised and some! The apartment was clean and the furniture, including the bed was superior. There was lots of character supported by modern facilities. It was nice to be able to do our laundry and we really enjoyed the large quarters. This apartment is in the heart of Lucca ... you can walk to everything and making bus or train connections are a short walk away. Vanessa provided excellent information and support prior to and during our stay. This was extremely helpful! She was a gracious host. Having a lift (elevator) was a nice bonus. Looking down upon a lovely courtyard; viewing the "Clock Tower" our of our window; and, hearing a little (not interrupting noise) of the sounds of "Lucca life" made each day special. We would love to return and recommend the apartment and our host, Vanessa, highly! Joan and Colin
Great location, there is everything one can need and the mood is so positive. In the core of the city, close to the dome, piazza San michele and the main shopping streets! Vanessa is a special host, altough she was not in lucca, she did everything and manage so good in order to make our stay perfect even with rainy weather!
If you go to Lucca this is the right place to stay!
Vanessa's apartment is great. It is in a lovely area, very well appointed, and super comfortable (we are a family of 4 including two college age sons). Although we never met Vanessa she was incredibly attentive and helpful via email, whats app etc. Her friend Simonetta met us and showed us everything and then even checked in to make sure all was fine. Vanessa's hints about local restaurants were great (we had terrific and fun meals and Vispa Teresa, Il Baccanale (a wonderful and unusual xmas eve with Walter, Grazie and their friends) and the Antigua Drogheria. Lucca is small and completely walkable - within ten minutes you will find everything!!!
Our family of four (couple with two young adult children) thoroughly enjoyed our six night stay at Apartment Jacopo. The spacious apartment in a quiet courtyard is brimming with old world charm; its beamed ceilings and antiques are gorgeous. The well-equipped, eat-in kitchen allowed us to enjoy breakfast together each morning and prepare a home cooked meal one night. Though we were concerned about staying in a top-floor apartment during the heat of August, the AC made the rooms comfortable and the views of Lucca’s tiled rooftops and towers were breathtaking. Our host, Vanessa, was a real jewel. She promptly answered questions, provided transportation, gave us treats and responded to last minute requests. We highly recommend Apartment Jacopo in Lucca for an authentic inside-the-walls experience you will long remember.
