The B&B San Michele in Pisa offers you a good stay in the old town centre of one of the most charming cities in Tuscany.
The B&B is situated a few meters from the beautiful Arno riversides and the famous city-centre with its monuments, palaces and museums.
Following the riverside, you’ll be able to reach the Marina di Pisa seaside, the Cisanello Hospital and the University of Pisa within minutes.
A faultless bed and breakfast, with nothing too much trouble by the hosts to ensure a very comfortable stay. If only all bed and breakfast establishments were like this. Can highly recommend.
Lucia and Fabrizio run a class act.
I had an almost month long stay with them and the experience was fantastic. They we're very kind to me and made me feel like I had a home away from home. Lucia made a flower bouquet to bring to my girlfriend when she arrived mid-way through our stay.
On the practical side the place was clean and comfortable and breakfast every morning was excellent. As Lucia well knows the 'grandfather' cake and a certain southern Italian bread with fresh tomatoes herbs were my favorite.
Also no visit to their place would be complete without a few dinner's at their son's lovely restaurant. Best fish we had all year!
Lucia and Fabrizio are wonderful hosts. Our only issue was with the bathroom and this was my fault entirely. I did not read the description of the accommodation properly. I simply assumed that each room was en-suite. The four rooms have a shared bathroom with a toilet in the bathroom. Apart from that it was fun and we had a good time
The B&B was located close to the Pisa Centrale station, though I would not advise walking if you have a lot of luggage. It was easy to find and located 15 minutes away from the main attractions (Leaning Tower, etc.). Not much around it in the neighborhood. There is a Chinese restaurant down the street that we went to for lunch and it was mediocre -- good if you want a break from spaghetti and Florentine steak. Lucia, her husband, and son were friendly and helpful. Lucia gave us a good orientation and pointed out places of interest for us upon arrival. We had to share a bathroom but it was cleaned daily. We were a group of three women and were glad to see our room was very spacious. There was reliable high speed, wireless internet. For a small fee, Lucia's husband drove us to the airport to catch our flight. At checkout, be prepared to pay the tourist tax and any shuttle fees. We wish we could have stayed longer as the breakfasts were delicious and the service satisfactory. This B&B is only a few years old but the professionalism and hospitality make it seem as if Lucia and her family have been running it for much longer. We highly recommend this B&B.
We had a lovely brief time at B&B San Michele. Lucia and Fabrizio were wonderful hosts for our short visit and the breakfast was impressive and delicious. The garden was a pleasant place to sit while we waited for a ride to the airport from Fabrizio.
I stayed here while in Pisa for a conference and I couldn't be happier. The location was just 1 minute from the meetings and the apartment was clean, quiet, and hospitable. Lucia prepared a wonderful assortment of pastries and other items for breakfast as well as make a wonderful espresso (or two!). I very much enjoyed my stay here as it was just a 15 minute walk from the train station and 10 minutes from the Verdi Theater and other wonderful locations. I would recommend this place for anyone looking for a place to stay as long as they don't need to be right next to the leaning tower
This accommodation is not as modern as some others, however Lucia and her husband were very welcoming. Her breakfasts are memorable. It is easy walking distance and convenient for the sights of Pisa. Easy parking but have to pay for it, but not expensive. Right outside the door. Shared bathroom with two other couples so get up early. Very clean and comfortable.
Lucia and her husband Fabrizio were very welcoming! They provided a wonderful map of the city for us and gave us many recommendations on what to see and do in Pisa. We we able to easily walk to all of the major sites in Pisa. They were very gracious and allowed us to check in early. They also a provided us a delicious breakfast in the morning even though we had to leave very early. They told us we would have "small" breakfast since we were leaving early. This "small" breakfast was actually quite large and delicious! We were very happy! They were also kind enough to call a cab for us so that we could get to train station on time. The place is very clean, the shower is very big, and the beds are VERY comfortable.
We had a lovely stay with Lucia and Frabrizio, they were very helpful and made us very welcome. Lucia makes a fantastic tuscany breakfast with fabulous local pastries, I'm sure I've put a few pounds on with all the lovely food at breakfast. For you Brits, remember this is a traditional tuscany breakfast not your eggs and bacon! Clean, quaint and old italian home which is a great experience in an old city. We will definately stop with them again in the future. Thank you both for a fabulous stay.
What lovely people we stayed with here. Lucia and her husband were welcoming and kindly picked us up from the station in the pouring rain. our stay here gave us the chance to see the real Pisa, and walk the medieval streets as well as enjoy again the leaning tower and the musuem and the Duomo. Thanks Lucia for the marvellous breakfasts. .
