Rent for a short term a studio apartment (max 2 people) in the heart of Florence!
It's a mini full-equipped apartment with a sofa bed, kitchenette, wardrobe, central heating, bathroom, internet and TV. Towels and linen will be provided.
The strong point is its location. You will be able to visit Florence with no need of public transportation.
Only a short walk from famous landmarks such as the Uffizi Museum, the Pitti Palace and Boboli Gardens, the Ponte Vecchio which spans the Arno river, Santa Croce and Piazza della Signoria.
A few steps away you will find cafès, pubs, restaurants, internet points, laundry service, gelato places and more.
Being located a few steps from the river, you can even walk to the Oltrarno district ("the other side of the river") and walk up to Piazzale Michelangelo, a famous square with a magnificent panoramic view.
You can reach my place very easily from the train station by bus since the bus stop (n° 23) is right in front of the entrance of my house.
If you'd like to stay at a B&B in the center of Florence, take a look of this beautiful room:
Especially during spring and summer time, you might feel the need to enjoy the sun and the most beautiful beaches of Italy.
Take a look at this nice independent house located in Cagliari, Sardinia, managed by a close friend of mine:
If you'd like go there from Florence, let me know, and it will be a pleasure for me to help you find the best way to get to Sardinia.
Sardinia is an amazing place where to spend your holidays in Italy. Not only it boasts a great cultural and historical heritage but also among the most beautiful beaches in the Mediterranean Sea!
Here are a few rules.
The most important rule is informing me on your arrival time a few days before your arrival. Otherwise you may not find someone who opens the door.
Before booking please let me know if your arrival time is after 9 pm.
Check in time is after 2 pm. If you arrive before 2 pm you can leave your luggage in the flat. I will call you or text you once the it is ready.
Check out is by 11 am. If your flight or train leaves in the afternoon, you can leave the luggage in my place. It will be given you a key to take it whenever you want.
Please, switch he air conditioner off t when you leave the room. In case you forget to do it, any member of my familty is allowed to get in the apartment to turn it off.
Leave the room neat and clean as you found it and limit the noise level in the stair and apartment.
Although Massimo was out of town, his brother-in-law Riccardo was there to greet us and help us get settled in. He showed us how to open the doors and gates and how to reach him if we needed help. He also gave us a map of Florence to keep, which was really useful. After he left, we ran into a minor plumbing issue with the toilet tank, but Riccardo returned quickly to have it resolved, which we appreciated.
The place is about a 20 minute walk from the Firenze Santa Maria Novella train station, and it's ideally located. It's right next to the Arno River and it's just a quick walk to the Ponte Vecchio bridge, the Duomo, the Uffizi Gallery and more. There is a supermarket right across the street for any necessities you might want to buy, and the neighborhood felt safe.
To access the apartment you'll need to go up a short flight of stairs. It's quiet (as in, you can't really hear adjacent neighbors) and it's equipped with useful things such as a fridge, a kettle, and a hairdryer. There is plenty of warm water and there are heaters around the place to warm you up in case it gets cold. There is also a small window that allows sunlight to flow through in the mornings. Although there is WiFi connection available, it isn't the strongest. I had no problem connecting to it on my phone and laptop (though at times it could be slow), but my friend who accompanied me had some connectivity issues with his phone.
The place has a comfortable bed, a full length mirror, and enough closet space for your belongings. There was one Euro to Italy outlet converter there at the apartment that we used continuously throughout our stay.
All in all, I liked the place due to its comfort and convenience. I would definitely recommend it to a friend or consider it for my next stay.
Great location, friendly welcome, perfect studio accommodation for a break in Florence!
Didn't get to meet Massimo, but he was very responsive to my messages and his brother Riccardo was very helpful. Checking in and out was very easy. The location was also great and easy to find since it's near the river. The only downside was that the wifi connection was slow, but it was better than having no wifi at all.
Massimo was out of the country during my stay, so I did not meet him, but his brother-in-law greeted me and gave me great advice on what to see (and where to eat!) in Florence. The apartment was exactly as advertised, perfect for me as a solo traveler (though it would also be fine for two) and in a great location. If I ever return to Florence, I would love to stay at Massimo's place again. Thank you!
It is a very nice and clean flat, I really enjoy my time staying there. There are basically everything in the flat, and it is nice they even prepared hair dryer and many useful little thing. Massimo is very patient and nice, he helped me with all information I needed and those information are very useful. Riccardo gave me lots of help and he is very considerate, I really appreciate that and it really makes me feel warm and sweet. The location of the house is prefect, and it is quiet at night, I had good sleep. The bed is different than the photo shows, which is much better and the bedding sets are also comfortable. Thank you very much, if I got chance I will come and visit again.
This was my second stay here and it was, again, perfect for my purposes - easy check in; great location, easy walk to all the major sites, but a quiet and relaxed part of town; good price; clean, cosy, quiet apartment. Super easy to deal with the owner as his family own a B+B around the corner. Lovely walk into town along the river, which takes 10 mins.
I'm 27 years old, from Italy.
I currently live in Melbourne where I'm undertaking a university exchange program, and my brother-in-law is taking care of my guests. If you are in melbourne and would like to meet and have a chat over a cup of coffee, let me know! I'm also tutoring in Italian, so if you are interested, feel free to contact me! Cheers, Massimo.
