NOTES ON NATURE

Our home is in a forested area that stays under 70 degrees for the vast majority of the year. We have one window unit available in the Master Bedroom, but NO CENTRAL AC.

During the summer, guests typically stay comfortable by enjoying the community pools, lake, beaches, and other outdoor amenities during the day, while cooler evening temperatures, wall to wall screened windows and fans keep the home comfortable in the evening.

Being close to nature is part of the Little Norway PA experience. We have bald eagle, porcupine, deer, and the occasional bear visitor! We choose not to use insecticides in order to keep the environment healthy for you and the local wildlife. We want you to feel completely at ease here and are always happy to answer any questions ahead of your stay.

NOTES ON PARTIES

Little Norway PA is best experienced as a space for chill time. If you are seeking a space for a party, we can recommend other areas of the Poconos. Quiet hours are 10pm-6am.

SAFETY NOTE

Our photos show a wood burning fireplace. Our wood burning fireplace is unfortunately non-operational. Guests tell us they enjoy the cozy, easy-to-use electric fireplace in place of the wood burning fireplace in the photos.

ECO-FRIENDLY NOTES:

SUMMER

AIRCON
Our home is in a forested area that stays well under 70 degrees for the vast majority of the year.

WINTER
The in-floor hot water radiant heating system in the chalet responds to thermostat changes differently than forced air or electric baseboards you may be used to.

With radiant heat, the actual temperature of the room will typically feel about 3-4 degrees warmer than the reading on the thermostat. And you get the bonus of warm floors!

MASTHOPE AMENITIES
As a Masthope guest, you are welcome to enjoy the community amenities when you purchase a pass for $10/person per day. Passes cannot be used on the day of checkout.

The pool is open in the summer only, usually starting on Memorial Day weekend and ending on Labor Day weekend. Skiing opens in the winter around the end of December/January through mid March.

Please read our Welcome Guide carefully to ensure you are able to check in at the community office upon arrival to pick up your passes.
