The house is in the center of the medina on the avenue Hassan II. It is less than 3 minutes walking from the Plaza de Uta el Hamman and has 3 floors and 2 balconies.
On the first floor you will find a room with a bathroom and shower.
On the second floor there is a hallway with two bedrooms. One of these rooms has a built in closet and a bed of approximately 90cm. The other room has double beds, one of which is for children. There are also blankets, towels, and bedsheets included throughout the house.
When you go up to the next floor, you will find the kitchen and living room. The kitchen has all the utensils included, and the living room has three couches that you can use for sleeping.
Here we have the first balcony, with a fountain and bench and off of it another room with a double bed and bathroom.
If you go up a little higher, you will find another balcony with a barbeque and a table to eat at, along with great views.
The house was last modified in 2009.
This house is magnificent. It is in a great location of the medina, and has way more than expected from a house in Morocco. As the last stop on our backpacking trip, our group was quite happy to see western toilets, showers, a washing machine, and all around cleanliness. The rooftop is a beautiful place to be both day and night, and the many beds make it easily functional for large groups. The kitchen had everything we needed to cook, and the people around town were happy to help us get where we needed to go. Youssef was also very welcoming and gave easy directions to the house. 100% recommend this place! It is a beauty!
Also, if you like hiking be sure to take a day to see the cascade at Akchour!
The house was very nice and clean. Although we didn't expect to climb so many stairs (which is not very convenient with a baby), we enjoyed our stay in the medina. Thanks to Jose and Youssef for the organisation of our stay.
The owner was very responsive and helpful (we communicated by email). The house is lovely and super convenient, located just inside the medina (as the ad describes, about a four or five minute walk from where you can park your car). There is plenty of room with beds enough for about eight or nine people. Everything was clean and you get exactly what you pay for - nothing deceptive about the property and it's actually prettier in person. Lots of clean towels and sheets, some pots and pans and forks/spoons/knives (there is a small gas cooking stove if you need it, and a working refrigerator). There are two bathrooms, each with a shower but the hot water doesn't last too long so keep that in mind. The roof-top deck gives an awesome view of the medina and surrounding hills. Also adjacent to where you might park your car is access to a hiking trail (it's not K2...just a nice slow ascent up to an old mosque and a great view). We also drove the 40 minutes or so to Akchour to hike there, which was beautiful (and you can't be the proximity). All in all, recommend this one!
Hard to find but well located - a beautiful riad in medina, so close to all the action... And the master bedroom opens out on to split level roof terrace.
La casa es muy bonita. Hemos estado muy a gusto en casa de José Luis. Las vistas desde la terraza son maravillosas. Gracias por tus recomendaciones; nos gustó mucho la visita a Akchour.
A big place. More space there than we needed (as two people) but in a great position. The rootop terrace has great views and I highly recommend it for a night time tea under the stars :)
Our stay was perfect. House and host were incredible. This truly is a magical place to stay at in a magical town.
A perfectly located house (dar) in the atmospheric medina. Very picturesque but also well functional (bathrooms, kitchen). You are just part of the local life for a while that may involve some noise pollution. Unproblematic communication with José's local help. Highly recommendable.
Overall the house was pretty and spacious, with two big bedrooms and two bathrooms. The view of the city from the rooftop was very nice. However, the house was a bit dusty, the cups and kitchenware were a bit dirty. The communication with the owner could have been improved. We emailed our arrival time early in the morning but we did not get any response at all until we called the owner in the evening. Time was wasted on waiting for the pick-up to the house. There was no wifi inside the house. One thing to note is, it was very noisy outside the house after midnight. People gathered in the street and talked loudly until about 3 in the morning. We were waken up a few times at night.
