Geaniee and her husband CJ were lovely hosts. We had problems a couple times with internet and the tv but they were very responsive with getting everything fixed! We stayed for a month, and the apartment felt very much like home by the end. It was clean, cozy, and the location really couldn't be better. The only warning I would give is that there's a construction site across the street that can be very noisy in the early mornings. Overall, a really great and welcoming stay!
The apartment is very clean and cozy! The owners Geaniee and CJ are very sweet, flexible and will take care of you and make you feel very comfortable. I'm really glad I found this apartment. I definitely recommend staying here!
Geaniee and CJ have a pair of lovely apartments in Brooklyn that were ideal for our visit. We were working at the MetroTech Plaza, so we were able to walk to our offices in just 5 minutes. With several subway stations close by connecting to The City is simple. The apartment itself is very cozy and their attention to small details is wonderful. If you've forgotten anything at all, they have almost every sundry item for you in the flat, We will be returning for another work trip in the spring and we look forward to staying at their apartment again.
One note, there is currently a rather noisy construction site directly across from the apartment that starts rather early in the morning. Geaniee & CJ provide ear plugs, but you should be aware of the possibility of early wake up calls.
Neat apartment and eclectic part of town. Place had a unique patio. All in all, was easy transaction and hosts were accommodating. Good place..
CJ and Geaniee were such nice hosts. I never met Geaniee in person, but CJ was very helpful throughout our stay. We had a few issues, such as the Wifi not working and the tub not draining. CJ was able to fix the tub right away, however, we didn't discover the Wifi problem until the night before we left, so we didn't mention it.
It being New York, it was quite noisy throughout the night. There is a bar close by and Friday and Saturday there were bar patrons outside until well into the wee hours of the morning. I think it will be great when the hosts can replace the windows, as they've mentioned they'll do next year :)
The space itself was perfect for us. Very comfortable beds, and a nice electric fireplace in the family room area. The kitchen was spacious and stocked with the basics like coffee and bottled water. We never cooked, but there is a cute little stove and oven that looked perfect for a great in-home meal. The outside balcony is a very nice touch, and we enjoyed out breakfast out there every morning.
Definitely recommended for the awesome hosts and great apartment. Thanks CJ and Geaniee!
Hosts are a lovely couple, and were so, so helpful! We were 3 adults and 1 young child and all felt completely at home. The apartment was spotless, and well stocked with complimentary bottled water, coffee and toiletries - totally unexpected! Neighborhood is great, and just a 20 minute subway ride from Greenwich Village. We'd definitely stay here again!
This 2br in Brooklyn was absolutely WONDERFUL for our stay! Right in the heart of it all and exactly what we needed! 5 minute walk to the Barclays Center, which was key bc we were attending an event there and needed to save money so the walk was great as opposed to having to pay taxi fares! But, if you do need a taxi.. That will NOT be a problem at Geannies place. With the Indigo Hotel right next door and the Sheraton across the street, there was never a minute without a can nearby!
The apartment itself was extremely clean and cozy. Completely stocked with all the little things one might forget! From deodorants to Q-tips and even a case of bottles water provided I've never felt so taken care of at a private rental! I would HIGHLY recommend staying at Geannies property to anyone who's looking for a nice affordable place right in the heart of Brooklyn! No less, it took a 2 minute walk to a 5 minute subway ride straight into the Lower East Side of Manhattan! Was able to have a fantastic meal on Mulberry Street in Little Italy, within 15-20 minutes of leaving the property we were sitting at our table enjoying cocktails on the streets of NYC.
I have ZERO complaints about this property at all. If anything could be tweaked, it would be a minor upgrade to the cable TV service. Only basic channels available, so if being a couch potato is your thing and ESPN or HBO is necessary, then this would need to be upgraded. But, if your a couch potato that likes to read a book.. The couch was perfectly comfortable for that!
Also, the beds were SOOOOO comfortable, and being able to wake up and walk out of the kitchen onto the extremely well kept and perfectly furnished rooftop deck with your morning coffee, was such a plus I think I might just go on a few "business trips" every so often to just utilize that itself! 5 stars when it's all said and done for me!
The apt was so crazy for our stay in NYC. I was there for 5 days with 5 friends and everything was perfect.
We have appreciated the terrace during the evenings and everything was cleaned on the apt. The location was great : closed to the subway and a lot of factories to do shopping.
We had our own car and we have found a "cheap" parking just closed to the apt!
Thank you for everything Geaniee!
Geaniee and CJ are really very welcoming and available people. They answered all our questions and needs during our stay. the apartment is very well maintained (same as pictures) and CJ Geaniee provided us everything we asked (mineral water, clean towels, ...). The area where is located the apartment is really nice even though it is noisy due to the work of buildings around (difficult thing to sleep later in the morning). Downtown Brooklyn is really lively with lots of things to do and really close to Manhattan by subway. we really enjoyed our stay! thanks again to Geaniee CJ and perhaps isee you later !
After a couple of initial scheduling issues we got everything sorted out and Geaniee and her husband were incredibly friendly and accomodating during our stay. The place is spacious and clean with all of the little things you need (clean towels, soap, paper towels, a corkscrew, bottled water, you name it). I mention this because not all ABnB places I've stayed have provided these things and it's very nice to have them, especially the corkscrew!
The only downside of this neighborhood is that there is a lot of construction going on, seemingly all around the location. Certainly not a negative thing against Geaniee but it's something you should be aware of: bring earplugs if you want to sleep in! Can't say enough good things about the hosts - extremely friendly people.
Thanks. I can't say much about the noise...I totally agree with him...one point, we thought about changing all the windows with double pane windows with noise block protection. We are thinking to put them on next year. Then we are on the same block as Sheraton and Indigo Hotels...we face same issue. Reid, please come back to see our improvement in the future....looking forward to seeing you again. Thanks for everything.
