Excellent hospitality from Anita and John, welcomed us as soon as we arrived and were very accommodating with parking and anything we wanted to know about the area. The cottage is beautiful and the loft room is spacious and lovely decorated, the beds are super comfy too. It is situated in a great location with pretty walks along the river that easily take you into the town and tourist attractions. Breakfast was delicious in the morning and sets you up for the day. We couldn't fault our stay and will definitely be back to enjoy another stay there and the beautiful town of knaresborough.
Anita and John cannot be faulted on their hospitality! I came up to Harrogate for a fair and struggled to find accommodation in the town - Anita accepted my stay within a few hours of my request and the rest was plain sailing! The house is beautiful and a perfect home from home. I had a bit of a tough weekend, coming home tired and up early to set up each day, and they cooked wonderful breakfast just to my taste and were more than happy to talk every evening before bed.
I thoroughly enjoyed my stay and would recommend Anita and John and their gorgeous home to anyone who needs a bit of fun and relaxation on their travels!
A lovely couple and a lovely house. John and Anita have done a great job renovating this cottage and creating a warm and inviting place to stay. Thank you both.
From first booking to when we left, Anita and John were both efficient and extremely hospitable. A brew and a chat when we arrived, an exceptionally clean and well presented room, and always on the wish list, a powerful shower! We were bowled over (literally; excuse the pun) with how much effort went into breakfast starting with fruit, yoghurt and cereal, ending in a cooked breakfast with pancakes in between! The cottage was a great location, only a short walk from Knaresborough town, castle and the beautiful viaduct. We loved meeting you both, thank you for being part of our special weekend.
We were warmly welcomed into Anita and John's beautiful cottage. We arrived late on friday night, and they were very accommodating, even though they had plans that evening. The room was comfortable, cosy and spotlessly clean, with fresh sheets and towels. Breakfast was delicious and really set us up for the day. Anita and John were warm and friendly and made us feel right at home. The town is idyllic and the famous viaduct is just a 3min walk from the cottage. We wouldn't hesitate to return, and we will be recommending this to all our friends. Thanks John and Anita. Ed and Alexandra
