Interaction with guests

A very quiet road and very quiet neighborhood. Easy on street parking.
Local bus routes and train station. We are only 10 minutes walk from Deal train station. If you have luggage then, on request, I'd be pleased to meet you.
There are good train connections via Dover or Ramsgate to London. Only an hour and half to central London.
Walmer and Deal have plenty of restaurants and many many pubs to choose from. The beach is just a 2-3 minutes walk away. Deal pier is a 10-15 minutes walk away, either via the town centre or along the promenade.
Places To Eat In Deal & Walmer:
Whits of Walmer on The Strand is a nice French restaurant, although you do need to book and they open from Thursday to Sunday, turn left out of the house, take first left down North Barracks Rd, then left at the end and it's a few metres on the your left on the seafront. Just before you reach it you will find Bengal Spice, an Indian restaurant.
Carrying on into town, just before the pier, The Kings Head offer a nice pub meal. The pier has a cafe at the end that is open for breakfast and lunch.
Just past the pier on your right, The Royal Hotel is a nice place to eat and drink, overlooking the sea. Opposite are further restaurants and hotels .
Take the road from the pier inland, into town and find Wetherspoons, just past the lights on your right, where you can get a cheap meal. Whilst in town you will find several other pubs, cafes and restaurants.
Other things to note
An extra person can be accomodated in the room on request. The 3rd bed is better than a floor matress, a comfortable standard adults size folding bed with a 175mm mattress. There is adequate space however, please note the room is not a large one so if you dont mind 3 family members can sleep quite comfortably.
It's important to us that our guests feel at home and we will do our best to ensure you do. Guests will be given a key to the back and can come and go as they please but note that the house is usually quiet between 10:30pm and 7:30am. When you arive you will be greeted at the front door. We normally take our shoes off in the house but wait till we lead you to the conservatory at the back of the house. There is a passage through a gate down by the side of the house. WiFi code is in your room and also on your AirBnb App. A breakfast tray will be prepared for you in the morning and help yourself from the fridge etc.
I'm british, married to my wife for 36 years and we have 4 grown-up boys. We moved to Walmer in 2000 from Bavaria where we used to live. For many years I was a computer systems analyst and now run my own training company here in the UK. We have used AirBnB on our travels and we now wish to return the pleasure by hosting as well.
