As you enter through the redwood fence into a xeriscaped front yard filled with lush succulents, you are greeted by a trickling water fountain. You then enter the 1900 sq. ft home with beautiful Brazillian hardwood floors, and are surrounded by soothing colors and textures. You see the gorgeous views of the downtown LA skyline and notice that it can also be appreciated from the living room, dining room, kitchen and family room. The family room includes a piano and HD TV with Bluray and surround sound while the living room includes a Bang & Olufsen sound system and working gas fireplace.
You head to the large backyard to enjoy the beautiful SoCal weather, and you are greeted with fruit trees, and a comfy, modern sectional and seating area for hanging out, a bbq, a hammock, even a kids wooden play structure.

We can be available as much or as little as you would like as we live in the neighborhood. The house is equipped with a digital keypad so you can check-in and check-out at your leisure. If there are ever any problems, we are only a phone call or email away.

***As fellow house renters, we realize the importance of a good nights sleep. All our rooms have new beds with high-thread count sheets and blackout shades. We use bedbug protective covers on all our mattresses so that you and I can sleep safely.***
QUIET ENJOYMENT: Guest shall be entitled to quiet enjoyment of the premises, and Owner will not interfere with that right. Guest also agrees to respect neighbors and will not cause disruption of neighbors.
NUMBER IN PARTY: Number of people staying on Premises must be indicated and confirmed on contract and not exceed maximum number of people allowed as indicated in the contract. Evidence that the number of people staying on the Premises exceeds number indicated on the contract may result in forfeiture of entire security deposit.
PARTIES: Gatherings, including guests, which exceeding maximum number of people staying in our home must be pre-approved and noted in our contract. The property is located in a residential neighborhood and care should be taken and polite consideration given to neighbors so that their peace is not unduly imposed upon or disturbed. Guest is responsible for all visitors in this regard, whether occupying the property or “dropping by” for a short visit. Evidence that parties have been conducted without pre-approval will result in a forfeiture of entire security deposit.
FILMING: Absolutely no filming or large crews in the house for security and safety reasons.
NO SMOKING POLICY: No smoking of cigarettes or cigars is allowed on the property. Evidence of smoking on the property will result in a forfeiture of entire security deposit.
DANGEROUS MATERIALS: Guest shall not keep or have on or around the Premises any item of a dangerous, flammable or explosive character that might unreasonably increase the risk of fire or explosion on or around the premises or that might be considered hazardous by any responsible insurance company.
INCLUSIVE FEES – Rates include a one-time linen & towel setup.
NO DAILY HOUSEKEEPING SERVICE – While linens and bath towels are included in the unit, daily maid service is not included in the rental rate. We do not permit towels or linens to be taken from the house.
PETS: Guest is NOT allowed a pet on the premise.
WATER AND GARBAGE – We ask you to please use water minimally due to California drought issues.
There is one Black trash bin and one Blue recycling bin to the left of the house. Please try to dispose your waste accordingly.
ELECTRICITY, A/C, AND HEAT -- We ask that you please remember to turn off all lights when not using them, and use electricity, A/C, and heat on an as-needed basis.
This house is privately owned; the owners are not responsible for any accidents, injuries or illness that occur while on the premises or its facilities. The Homeowner is not responsible for the loss of personal belongings or valuables of the guest. By accepting this reservation, it is agreed that all guests are expressly assuming the risk of any harm arising from their use of the premises or others whom they invite to use the premise.

Overall, this house is nice. It's an older home that has been renovated. There are parts of the house that are old, but that added to its charm. We used this house for a small family get together. We had 3 cars in our group. The house is located on a narrow street. The driveway is also narrow and barely fit two cars. Street parking was available, however you cannot park on the street Thursday & Friday from noon to 2pm (which we forgot about). Unfortunately, we learned that they ticket quick. My dad ran out at 12:08 and he already had a ticket on his car. The house has 3 bathrooms, two full baths are in the hallway and are literally beside each other. The 3rd bathroom is in the 2nd room, it technically is a full bathroom but the sink in there is so short; it's perfect for a 4 year old. The shower in this bathroom is awesome! If you're like me and like to cook in the rental homes, the house is adequately stocked with stainless steel pots, pans and plates, etc. The nonstick pans & knives are in rough shape. The house has a nice view of the city from the back window. The backyard is a little oasis to hang out in. The only major issue we incurred was the air conditioning went out on us on our 2nd day. The owner was quick to respond and had someone out the next day to fix it. She said the unit was new, but something odd was going on with it. Thankfully, it was cool enough at night that we left the windows open so we didn't have to sleep in a hot house. The smaller issue was the dust in the house. There were huge dust balls hanging on the fan in our room, we didn't use it the first night. The 2nd night we had to get up there to dust it so we would feel comfortable using it. Didn't want my daughter sleeping under a dust fan.
Sophia as a host was great. She was quick to respond to answer questions.
We make very effort to make sure our guests have a good stay. Some things are within our control, some things are not. Silver Lake is an urban city with standard city protocols like street cleaning. It can be very annoying to get a ticket so I understand your frustration. The age of our house and the lot driveway standards are typical for this area which is also what makes people love the uniqueness and diversity of this neighborhood. Thank you for being accommodating when the AC was jammed. It is in fact a new unit so the problem was unexpected but was repaired the next day. We will definitely address the issue with the knives and nonstick pans. Thank you for bringing that to our attention.
This place is top notch, the price might be a bit higher than other places in the same area, but it's definitely worth it! Super clean, great instructions fantastic back yard. You will not be disappointed! Sophia was really easy to communicate with!
Sophia was a great host! She provided clear instructions on accessing the house and the house provided everything we possibly needed. She was also great about checking in to see if we needed anything during our stay. We all especially loved the fact that the house had a keypad entry, so we didn't have to deal with keys. I would definitely stay here again!
We had a wonderful stay! Sophia's home was a perfect fit for our family and we couldn't have asked for a better location in Silver Lake. Her home is beautifully designed and felt very spacious. We especially loved the backyard, which has fantastic views of downtown LA. I would love to stay here again on my next trip and would highly recommend it to friends visiting LA!
