Interaction with Guests
I want your time in the Twin Cities to be enjoyable. Feel free to ask me for any recommendations or advice on what to do or see. I love helping guests get a local experience and to show off our city.
Situated in the diverse & distinct "Nordeast" area of Minneapolis, this 100+ year old house is convenient to lots that the Twin Cities have to offer. Located on a quiet street just off of Central Ave, you are steps from many local restaurants & shops that reflect the diversity of the area. With quick & easy access to downtown and the U of M, many attractions are just minutes away. The neighborhood is quiet, friendly, and safe.
Public transit, a Nice Ride public shared bike station (seasonal) and the freeway are close by, making transportation convenient and direct. The #10 city bus line is 2 short blocks away, with frequent and direct service to downtown and the convention center.
Other Things to Note
My girlfriend, Shana, has a small dog that also lives here. Her dog is very friendly and is a hypoallergenic breed (Havaneese).
I'm pretty flexible. If you smoke, please do so on the sidewalk and dispose of your butts respectfully.
Use of the kitchen (fridge storage, pots/pans, etc.) is available to guests. Please clean up afterwards.
Help me reduce our footprint on this earth; recycling and composting are available.
No firearms, drug use or heavy drinking allowed.
I respect your privacy and won't enter your room unless absolutely necessary (maintenance, etc.)
Enjoy your stay!
Sam was welcoming and accommodating from the get go. He was flexible with check-in and check-out times. The house was cozy and easy to find. Thanks for the iron and the coffee!
I felt very comfortable, trusted and well looked after. I had all of my needs met and exceeded.
Great place! Great people! The bed was comfortable. The bathroom was right next door. The closet space was plenty. We could park in front of the house. The hosts were very generous. We couldn't have asked for more!
Sam and Shana were great hosts, and Chester was a sweet pup, always greeting me at the door when I got in from work during the week. The room was exactly as it is pictured and the closet was huge! It was stocked with a variety of hangers and extra blankets. I unpacked and hung all my work clothes for the week, tucked my suitcase into the closet and felt like I was truly "home!"
We had a great evening at Sam's place. He was very friendly and helpful and the listing is everything he said it would be. He went the extra mile and had a binder with recommendations and directions to nearby restaurants and attractions. Also, we had the pleasure of spending time with his girlfriend's adorable dog, Chester, who couldn't get enough tummy rubs. Sam had a fully stocked kitchen and is very easy to talk to. As two young women staying at his place he made us feel very comfortable and left us alone when we wanted him to.
Sam was a perfect host! He went out of his way to make me feel comfortable in his home and in the neighborhood. He also answered all my questions about things to do and places to go in Minneapolis and provided me with maps, directions and tons of helpful information. The room, and house in general, was very comfortable. The experience went above and beyond my expectations.
Sam was a really nice host. He goes above and beyond to make you feel at home. He offered us breakfast, made coffee for us (sorry we didn't get to drink it in our morning rush, Sam!), and let me do laundry very graciously. His house is really comfortable and nicely, thoughtfully decorated. Chester the dog was awesome, too!
I am an elementary school teacher in Minneapolis, and during the summer I drive pedicab downtown as well as Lyft. During my free time I enjoy motorcycling, bicycling, sailing, taking in events around the city, and am trying to find my green thumb with gardening. I love this city, and am happy to give any recommendations or local insight.
