We enjoyed our stay - the house is in a great location, very close to all the shops on 13th and to Sellwood park as well! The furnishings were lovely, and we particularly enjoyed the hot tub and picking blueberries in the back yard. Thank you Rose!

The house is in the Sellwood area of Portland which was gorgeous. Well maintained houses with lovely gardens made for great eye candy as we drove and walked around. The property is just as charming IRL as it is in the pictures. Things to consider: it's an older home with wooden floors which creak, so if you or your travelmate are light sleepers, that midnight bathroom run might be disruptive. The neighboring houses are close, and if they decide to stay up till 1am chatting on their back patio, you'll hear it, unless you have a white noise maker/app like we did. Also, the downstairs suite is also rented out separately, and normal tone of voice chat travels well from there into the main unit, so again, light sleepers might get perturbed. Finally, keep in mind the second bed is a sofa bed. Not terribly comfortable to climb into but I got solid sleep every night. People with bad backs might do better in the Temperpedic bed in the bedroom. That said, the location and the house itself were a delight and I was happy with my choice.

Rose's house is gorgeous -- it was such a treat to stay here. From the clawfoot tub to the skylight in the kitchen, it was exactly how I imagined a turn-of-the-century remodeled home to be. Rose was very kind and helpful, too. Sellwood is the perfect neighborhood to stay if you want to avoid downtown Portland. There are so many cute cafes and restaurants; the overall ambiance, quality of food/drink and prices in Sellwood made it a place I'd highly recommend checking out!

I am thrilled to welcome new friends to my home. I have been in the travel/tourism business for years. I lived in Santa Fe, NM; Phoenix and Scottsdale, Arizona; San Diego and Los Angeles California; Racine, Wisconsin and Pensacola, Florida. I found a home in Oregon and moved here in 1997 discovering all of what I enjoyed in other places I've lived. I am an advocate for Oregon through my work and my hobbies. I enjoy seeing others discover the beauties of Oregon, especially of my
friendly neighborhood. Sellwood is a great place to walk and discover the quaint Portland antique shops or to dine Al fresco at the neighborhood food carts and a variety of wonderful restaurants.

Since I love to travel. I am always looking for great places to visit and I have traveled to many countries over the years. Another reason I welcome people from near and far.
