  • We found Tom and his family to be most flexible and gracious hosts. The home is in a great location close to Stanford, bike trails, and cute small towns. It was very comfortable for a family gathering, and we especially enjoyed checking out the garden, the chickens, and the nice patio. Thanks for a memorable and comfortable visit!

  • We enjoyed our stay at the Country House -- complete with a chicken coop. Fresh eggs for breakfast was an added plus! The house was neat, clean & the location was perfect. The owner was gracious & responsive with any & all of our questions. We would highly recommend this B&B!!

  • Great place that was clean and comfortable in a marvelous neighborhood. My kids loved seeing the chickens outback. Tom was a very gracious host and all was exactly as advertised.

  • Our stay was particularly nice because Tom made us feel that he had really welcomed us into his home. My husband and I stayed there with our two adult children, and visited family in Palo Alto. Renting Tom's house, instead of hotel rooms, allowed us to spread out, hang out, and even play host. The house was just as advertised - roomy, clean and convenient, with an open, outdoorsy feel. We were particularly pleased with the flawless wifi. An unexpected boon was the outdoor hot tub, on a deck overlooking a wooded ravine. The location gave easy access to running/biking trails.

  • Our family had a wonderful time at Tom Malzbender's house in Palo Alto. He is a great host and everything was organized and made easy throughout. The house is in a great location, convenient to everything as well as being quiet and secluded. The house overall was very comfortable; the kitchen is especially cozy, with a dining nook, lots of counter space, great appliances and stocked with just about everything you would need for lots of cooking. We were there for Thanksgiving so it was perfect for us. The property was very nice, with chickens (and fresh eggs!) and especially the hot tub on the deck.
We would absolutely love to stay here again in the future.

  • I had a wonderful stay and a really unique experience at Tom's house. His house is in a great location - close to Stanford, the 280 into SF, and all of the conveniences of Palo Alto - but it's also surrounded by trees, which makes it extremely quiet and relaxing.

Tom made check-in and booking easy and made me feel very welcome. I'd recommend this place to anyone!
