Percy's Place is a very cozy 3-bedroom home in a quiet neighborhood. Close to all the major ski resorts as well as the Lake. Great hiking trails within walking distance too!
Percy's Place is a three-bedroom, two-bath home just outside wonderful Tahoe City. Highlights of the house include a large, comfortable, second-floor living area, which goes out to a lovely sunny deck with a newly installed hot tub and gas BBQ grill. Between the trees you can even catch a glimpse of the lake from the deck.
If you are a dog lover, you are in great luck! This will be a vacation home of your dreams! Percy, a golden retriever, has had his paws in on helping with setting up his place. He wanted both people and pups to feel welcome, so you will enjoy discovering his personal touches throughout the house. And the neighborhood is full of doggie playmates of all shapes and sizes!
You will be a short walk away from a US forest service trail that goes forever, connecting with the Tahoe Rim Trail, among others. Gorgeous Lake Tahoe is just down the hill, and the shops and restaurants of Tahoe City are a short drive away. The Truckee River is nearby for recreation and rafting (one of Percy's favorite summer activities), and Squaw Valley and Alpine Meadows are just down the road for your favorite winter sports. There is even a cross-country ski area nearby where you can ski with your dog. And for those of you who just can't get away from the office, we also have free wireless internet access available.
Come out for fun or for rest and relaxation. You can find everything you need at Percy's Place. You will be begging to come back!
Pets are obviously welcome, but please do your best to keep them off the furniture. We try not to charge anything extra for pets, but occasionally our cleaners will alert us to some extra cleaning involved with pets and end up charging us extra for that. Usually this is due to cleaning fur off of the furniture.
Bob was a great AirBnB host. Instructions were easy to follow and we enjoyed staying in the home.
I had a great time staying at Percy's place! It was fully-stocked with everything we needed in the kitchen and loads of fresh towels for our frequent hot-tubbing. We loved the spacious living room and cozy fireplace! Bob was great to work with and provided super clear information. We hope to stay here again soon!
We had a great time, the location of the cabin is ideal 5 minutes away from the lake, and 20 minutes driving from Alpine or Squaw Valley. The living room is really spacious, the beautiful deck with the hot tube a real plus you can even see the lake from there! Last but not least if you have a dog, this is the place to be!
Percy's place was a great spot for a long weekend in Tahoe. My husband and I stayed here with 2 other couples and had a wonderful time. The house is ideally located (10 minutes from Tahoe City) and well- equipped with everything you need (towels, cookware etc.). The hot tub on the deck was perfect after a long day of hiking. My friend brought her two dogs along and they felt right at home. If you are traveling with dogs, a big family, or a medium sized group, Bob's place is a fantastic option.
I spent a week here with friends and family during the winter, and it was a blast. The home is clean, spacious, and easy to live in (for both humans and dogs), and everything was exactly as described in the posting. The extra guidelines that came with the rental were clear and descriptive, as were all communications with the host. It's nestled just far enough into the neighborhood to be quiet, and not far of a drive from town if you need anything. And you'll usually find friendly neighbors out walking dogs on any of the nearby streets. Highly recommended.
Great house, great host! We were a group of six that stayed here for five days in the winter and really enjoyed ourselves. It's a comfortable, well-stocked house in a quiet, dog-friendly neighborhood. Tahoe City is just a few minutes drive away and the house has a nice deck in back (with a hot tub) where you can catch a peek of the lake.
There are three bedrooms downstairs and then a large living space upstairs for cooking, eating and lounging.
Bob was always friendly and available but never overbearing, and it seemed that he really wanted us to have an excellent vacation--which we did.
Everything about the place is advertised accurately, especially the pet-friendliness. Our dogs may have felt more at home than we did...
Bob was very helpful and even checked in with me prior to our trip to make sure I was ready to go and answer any questions I had. The home was lovely and had everything we (including our dogs) needed.
