The Space

Percy's Place is a three-bedroom, two-bath home just outside wonderful Tahoe City. Highlights of the house include a large, comfortable, second-floor living area, which goes out to a lovely sunny deck with a newly installed hot tub and gas BBQ grill. Between the trees you can even catch a glimpse of the lake from the deck.

If you are a dog lover, you are in great luck! This will be a vacation home of your dreams! Percy, a golden retriever, has had his paws in on helping with setting up his place. He wanted both people and pups to feel welcome, so you will enjoy discovering his personal touches throughout the house. And the neighborhood is full of doggie playmates of all shapes and sizes!

You will be a short walk away from a US forest service trail that goes forever, connecting with the Tahoe Rim Trail, among others. Gorgeous Lake Tahoe is just down the hill, and the shops and restaurants of Tahoe City are a short drive away. The Truckee River is nearby for recreation and rafting (one of Percy's favorite summer activities), and Squaw Valley and Alpine Meadows are just down the road for your favorite winter sports. There is even a cross-country ski area nearby where you can ski with your dog. And for those of you who just can't get away from the office, we also have free wireless internet access available.

Come out for fun or for rest and relaxation. You can find everything you need at Percy's Place. You will be begging to come back!

  • Wonderful experience! We loved the house itself and the deck with the hot tub and grill were fantastic! The proximity to town was excellent as well. Bob was very easy to communicate with and the had most everything laid out for us in advance in straight-forward manual. We had a dog in our group as well and loved all the dog-friendly touches to the house! Thanks for everything Bob!

  • We had a great time staying at Bob's place! All the rooms are very comfortable and the upstairs is a wonderful place to have a BBQ and hang out with a group of friends. The deck is great and we spent plenty of time in the hot tub on the first night. Unfortunately we did have issues with the heater and the hot tub not working but Bob was very responsive to our calls and did everything he could to help us fix the issues. I love how dog friendly this place is, you can tell that Bob really cares about our furry friends. :) We loved staying here and would definitely come back, highly recommended!

  • Our stay at Bob's place in Tahoe was extremely fun! The house is as shown and Bob is very friendly. He made an effort to work with my schedule to call me ahead of the trip so we would know what to expect and also was available throughout the weekend if we had any questions.

Highly recommend this place - especially if you like dogs!

  • Bob was a great host, incredibly enthusiastic. Called ahead of time to make sure that we knew everything we needed to know about the place. As for the place, it's a great Tahoe cabin. Mixes the old style charm with modern amenities very nicely. Hot Tub was very nice, and the kitchen is nicely stocked. Close to both Tahoe City and Kings Beach, so getting to any of the north shore resorts is a breeze. Probably the most dog friendly cabin I've ever stayed at in Tahoe!

  • Percy's place was great! It was centrally located to a number of ski resorts making it easy to explore the area. The North Lake Tahoe area was great! The place was spacious and easily slept six people and one dog! It was great to be out exploring all day then come back, cook a meal and relax in the hot tub until we were prunes. Highly recommended for an outdoor getaway! Bob was great and helped with any questions or concerns we had! If we come back to Tahoe, we would DEFINITELY stay at Percy's place again!

  • This cabin is a great, older cabin with a hot tub and warming gas fireplace. The upstairs level is big and open to the kitchen with lots of natural light. The cabin is right on the street with neighbors on both sides, but it was pretty quiet still. Also there are great walking trails for you or you and your dog right at the end of the street. I came up with my dog for some snowboarding and had a great time. Bob is a kind person and was exceedingly nice when I screwed up on the checkout time. Much appreciated hospitality.

  • Bob was friendly, helpful, and engaging from start to finish. A chat on the phone before the stay really helped with tips and details with both the house and the area, and Bob was readily available via phone and text messages when we had questions. The house itself was comfortable and spacious, and we had a great time after a day on the slopes cooking dinner, relaxing in the hot tub or in front of the fireplace, and finally falling sound asleep in the beds. The only knock I can think of is that the driveway was a little tough to navigate for multiple cars in the snow, but the important part was that there was plenty of space for our cars. It was a quick and easy drive to downtown Tahoe City and to Alpine Meadows, and I'd definitely look to stay here again when I'm back in North Tahoe.

  • We had a fabulous stay at Bob's wonderfully pet friendly cabin. The place has all the amenities you will need for yourself, kids and dogs without having that "dog odor". Our black labs were in heaven! Great deck with BBQ and hot tub for relaxing after a day out hiking, biking or skiing. It's minutes from the lake and multiple dog friendly trails, lake accesses. Bob is a gracious, friendly, responsible host. He reached out before our visit to go over details and to answer questions.

  • The house was in a great area just north of Tahoe City, equidistant to both Squaw and Northstar. Nice, quiet neighborhood and there are trails in the Tahoe National Forest to walk on right at the end of the block.

Once inside, the bedrooms are all good, with big beds in each. All the towels, pillows, blankets, etc. you could need. Plenty of dishware and two bathrooms. There is wifi, a laptop to use, etc. Pretty much had everything.

The living room is very cozy and the gas fireplace did a fantastic job of heating up the top floor. It is hooked up to the thermostat, so is on when it's up and off when it's down. Great system and means I didn't have to tinker with the gas stove/fireplace at all.

Overall, the perfect ski-weekend house and so so so dog friendly! Lots of reading materials for hiking, etc. with/without a dog.

Enjoyed it and the price point is perfect.
