The neighborhood is quiet and there are some restaurants within walking distance. Ferndale is a fabulous and fashionable town, with a mix of quiet residential streets, a trendy downtown shopping and restaurant scene, a variety of nightlife.
Downtown Ferndale is a few miles away and has easy access to freeways and Woodward Ave. and public bus systems. Close to Royal Oak, which is a popular city as well.
I am very flexible with check in and check out times. But appreciate it if you give me an approximate time you plan to check in and out.
Could not have asked for anything better! Sandy greeted me with the keys on the first day and showed me around, the house is adorable and was perfect for my boyfriend and I who were visiting friends and family in the area. The house has a nice light and airy feel, with an awesome furnace for the frigid winter nights and plenty of windows which I'm sure is spectacular in the summer time. Conveniently located right near Ferndale and Royal Oak's downtowns and Sandy sets you up with plenty of information for exploring the area. I thought that Sandy's decision to buy us slippers, toothbrushes, and our choice of coffee and tea (and going above and beyond to buy a reusable keurig filter as she couldn't find the coffee I wanted in the k-cups) was amazing as much as it was unexpected. This was my first experience with Airbnb, but I doubt I will be spending much time in hotels after this.
Thank you so much, Sandy! We'll be back soon.
Sandy was an excellent host, and her home suited our two person adventure to Ferndale perfectly. The house was spotless, warm (very important this winter trip!), and Sandy had checked with us in advance to determine our breakfast desires.
I would absolutely recommend Sandy's place to anyone staying in Ferndale, or even Detroit as long as you have wheels.
Sandy was a wonderful host. She ensured that we had everything we needed and was responsive with all communication. Her home is very comfortable, clean and well maintained - ideal for a couple. I would recommend her home to anyone staying in the Ferndale area, and will look to her for future return visits. Thanks!
cozy little home. Warm and well stocked with little extras that make you feel appreciated.
Sandy's lil house is cozy and darling. Certainly felt like staying at a home vs a hotel. I'll be staying again the next time I'm in the area.
Sandy was a great hostess. Wine and chocolates were waiting for me as well as other food items. The Keurig coffee maker made getting out of bed easy! :-) And she even shoveled the snow in the driveway! The house was cozy and in a very quiet neighborhood! I look forward to staying here again.
Sandy is the perfect host, and her bungalow in Ferndale is cozy, clean, warm, and adorable. She preheated the house for us before we got there and left treats for the humans and the dogs. Her attention and consideration helped make this a wonderful Christmas visit.
Sandy was a wonderful host and her bungalow was charming and ideal. She had coffee and oatmeal available on request–and even offered to stop by and shovel snow after a day-long blizzard had created a snow emergency in the area. For those seeking to take in the sights of the Greater Detroit area, I highly recommend a stay at Sandy's place.
Sandy's place is clean and comfortable, and an awesome value. Ferndale is an adorable neighborhood!
We had a great stay! The house was very comfortable. Sandy was welcoming, even leaving us a bottle of wine! We really appreciated her being able to accommodate us an extra night at the last minute when our flight got cancelled. Everything was great and we'll definitely stay again, thanks Sandy :)
