As a prior Michigander of 35 yrs, this is the perfect location for visiting SE Mich, it's not only exactly as described by the host but the amenities are above & beyond. It's as though I stayed w/ friends who gave me complete privacy & I wish my stay was thrice as long so I could have enjoyed all I discovered about it; the porch & backyard look like idyllic spots to lounge/eat/yoga & I'm sorry not to have had time to do so. It is a TRUE B&B experience & w/ the price was more than a bargain! If it's available when you're still looking at other places in the area jump on this NOW.
Free, fast wifi; kind, friendly neighbors; good food in place when I arrived so tired; the ease and comfort of my stay was a unique travel luxury.
Very nice little house in a quiet neighborhood ... no barking dogs or noisy neighbors, and it was fun to watch the local black squirrels. Sandy met us upon arrival and made us feel very welcome. We wouldn't hesitate to stay here again.
I felt perfectly at home at Sandy's Ferndale place and greatly enjoyed my month there. :-) It was super clean, quiet, and provided easy access to lots of great places. Sandy was very kind and helpful and readily available!! She was flexible with my arrival and departure times which was great! The kitchen is very user-friendly with all basics at your fingertips. My niece loved the toy selection downstairs as well. It was very convenient having a laundry room too! Ferndale is a quaint, adorable place and I loved exploring and eating out downtown! I can't wait to return! :-)
Our stay was great in this charming little house. As another gust mentions, it felt like we were staying at grandma's house:) The kitchen was fully stocked with coffee & breakfast cereal. A bottle of wine, candy, and fruit were on the table. it was really nice to have a place to stay that was our own when visiting relatives. The back yard is big and fenced, so my little dog was free to run around. The neighborhood is quite and residential, and convenient for getting on the freeway and traveling to any part of the Metro Detroit area.
The accommodations and hospitality could not have been topped. We had an absolutely fantastic stay in this home near Detroit. We would highly recommend this place to anyone headed to that area.
We really enjoyed staying at Sandy's place. It was a little bit like visiting grandma's house. It was cozy and inviting. She left us a bottle of wine, candy bars and fruit and the kitchen was well stocked with tea and coffee, anything you could mean. She was friendly and flexible. We really enjoyed our stay.
Home was exactly as described and was very comfortable!
Sandy responded to all questions in a timely manner and supplied essentials such as wine, fruit, and chocolate. Bed was comphy and Wi-Fi worked great! Very clean and close to expressway. What more could anyone ask for? Thanks Sandy!
