Interaction with Guests
You will be welcomed upon arrival and are welcome to pick our brains about Savannah. We will be available all during your stay, especially at breakfast.
Los Robles is in the historic Thomas Square District, really a part of the Victorian District, just south of the National Historic District. We are in a quieter area of town surrounded my many diverse activities and SCAD students. It is a short walk to Forsyth Park, Savannah's famous Squares and the Savannah River.
Walking or driving is preferable but there is bus transportation a block away on Abercorn Street that will take one down to the Historic District. I understand the #14 bus comes every 30 minutes.
Other Things to Note
Los Robles has comfortable sitting areas on the front palazzo and in the rear, under the bamboo forest.
1. No Smoking inside the house but permitted on palazzo or back yard.
2. We prefer NO pets as our dog Gordie is not the greatest with other dogs around.
3. Bedrooms have no locks.
4. Coffee/Tea available after 6 AM. Continental Breakfast buffet available 8:00 AM to 9:00 AM, unless special times/arrangements are requested.
5. Check In after 2 PM is preferred but we are flexible.
Richard's home was incredibly stately and full of southern charm. We loved it!
The hosts are personable and helpful, taking the time not only to give advice on where to eat and go but also to explain the history of the house. The room was clean with a large comfortable bed, bathrooms spacious and clean.
Don't think I heard a single noise at night and the neighborhood peaceful during the day. Breakfast was coffee, orange juice, cereal, pastries and fruit served in the dining room. The house is only a block off Bull Street which makes for an enjoyable walk to Bay Street. Will consider staying at Los Robles again next time I am in Savannah.
Richard was a wonderful host and his home in Savannah was gorgeous. As soon as we arrived we were made to feel at home and both he and his partner were warm and friendly. Richard's place went above in beyond in that he genuinely cared about getting to know his guests and was committed to being as hospitable as he could. I honestly can't think how our stay could have been better.
Richard was great, very inviting, funny and kind. House was spotless as well. Lots of free parking around his house, which is also in a safe area only a couple of blocks away from a police station I believe. Richard made sure my guest and I were accomodated in anyway we needed, he's also very personable, our conversations flowed easily.
The Los Robles hosts were wonderful- so welcoming and personable! The house was lovely and we hope to visit again soon!
Richard and Robin were great hosts for our one night stop in Savannah. They provided a lovely breakfast for us and provided great conversation as well! Great location to downtown and just a short walk from Forsyth Park. We were very pleased with our stay at Los Robles.
