Brian and Tim were very friendly and accomodating, giving us all the help we needed to enjoy our stay. The apartment is awesome with everything you need and more and definitely the best airbnb we have stayed in.
My hosts were very welcoming and very helpful. They had alot of information out that helped me find great restaurants and activities in the neighborhood. They also helped me figure out how to get around the city. I ended up walking much of the time which was wonderful but also had easy access to the Metro and cabs. Their place is a great place to stay. Clean and fully equipped and good space to hang out in. It was very similar to what I had expected from their description. I am hoping to come back with my partner and stay there again soon. A definate recommend on this place. Thank you!
I had two nights in Washington at Brian's apartment. I could not have been happier with the apartment, it had everything I needed and a lot more, the kitchen was very well equipped, I was very appreciative of the coffee machine! Brian also provided a lovely basket of snacks and a great guide to some local restaurants and bars.
The location was great, it is very close to the metro station which makes it easy to get almost anywhere in DC.
Great stay!!! The apt is beatiful, nicely decorated with a lot of extras like snaks, fruit, cofee pods and more.
Also a binder was provided with information about sorroundings (restaurants, grocerys), guides, maps and atractions.
Brian and Tim were really helpfull and responded to all my inquires.
Finally, it is well located, walking distance from the Metro.
I would totally recommend!!!
About the Host, Brian
Tim and I are two thirty-somethings who were married in October 2012. I am a regional sales director for medical device company, and Tim is a professional musician.
I grew up in Rochester NY and settled in DC in 2008 after living in South Bend, IN and Owings Mills, MD. Tim grew up in the Chicago suburbs and moved to the area in 2010 after living in Kansas City, Oklahoma City, and upstate NY.
We enjoy spending time with our friends here in DC, as well as in the MD/VA suburbs. Our families are still located where we each grew up, so we also enjoy traveling back "home" to visit.
I am widely known in my circle of friends as the pickiest eater alive, whereas Tim is far more adventurous in the food department! Luckily there are a lot of restaurants in the area that we can agree on.
Our musical tastes are also quite different; I am a fan of 90's alternative rock (and lately more Indie / Electronic) while Tim prefers Classical. Although Tim refuses to see certain bands in concert with me (Smashing Pumpkins) and I refuse to attend any Operas or Musicals, we have gone to several concerts together (Stone Temple Pilots, Tori Amos, Phantogram, Muse...)
As for TV shows, we typically find ourselves watching comedies (It's Always Sunny, Arrested Development, The Soup, Tosh.O, etc.) or certain reality TV shows such as Survivor (my favorite), Big Brother, Hell's Kitchen, and some of the more "serious" shows like Hoarders, Extreme Weight Loss, and Beyond Scared Straight.
