We are looking for a responsible individual or couple who will be respectful of the apartment, as it is an extension of our home. The apartment accommodates two adults (we cannot and will not accommodate more than two people), no children please.
Our standard check in time is anytime after 3pm, and check out is before 11am. Please let us know about your estimated arrival time, it helps us to make sure we have the apartment ready for you when you arrive. If you need to check in early or check out late, please let us know, and we will do our best to accommodate you. Please understand that we can't accommodate every request, but we will be as flexible as possible.
During your stay we ask that you clean up after yourself, and leave the apartment in the condition that you found it. We will take care of all of the laundry (sheets, towels, etc), but if you could please wash your dishes, and clean up any spills or messes that would be great. Cleaning supplies can be found under the sink in the kitchen.
Not allowed: smoking, pets, no large parties, extra guests.
Tim and I will be very receptive to maintenance requests; please notify us ASAP if you need anything or if something does not function properly.
If you have any questions, please contact us prior to booking.
I probably can't add too much more to the already glowing reviews others have previously left for Brian and Tim, so forgive me if my comments are repetitive. The apartment is spacious and well maintained; the decor is cheery, modern, and welcoming. Thoughtful touches like crisp sheets, Keurig machine, guide books and maps, fresh fruit, smart TV, and excellent lighting throughout helps travelers be as relaxed or efficient as they wish! Brian and Tim were always responsive to my queries and I would definitely stay there again. In the neighborhood, I would also recommend Compass Coffee at 7th and Q, close to the Metro station, for excellent coffee AND pastries!
Had a great stay. Apartment was in a great location only a 5 min walk from the train station and lots of little touches to make the stay more comfortable. Would definitely recommend staying to anyone.
Thank god I stumbled across this gem when planning my boyfriends birthday trip to DC. The apartment was beyond what I'd expected when we walked in, and Tim was amazing. They left us an awesome binder full of pamphlets and places to eat. We felt like we lived in DC staying here, and because of this trip we plan on doing many more. As well as hopefully staying here once we decide to come back.
Thank you, guys! You rock!
Brian's place was great! The apartment is HUGE and decked out with lovely furnishings. The small touches (information, books, snacks) were what made Brian's place one of our favorites. Communication with Brian was also great, he always replied promptly and was more than accommodating when we arrived late. Would definitely stay here again!
Great place in the city. Everything you need for 2 people. Tim and Brian are extremely responsive.
Brian made me feel welcome right from the start. He gave very prompt email responses to queries, both before my arrival & during my time there. He showed me around the apartment & gave me ideas about getting around, places to eat out & to go shopping. The apartment was clean, well-equipped & beautifully decorated. It's in a quiet location. I felt at very much at home - it was my home away from home as I got over my jetlag. It's about a 45 minute walk to the Capitol Hill area, & a short walk to the Metro. Really convenient. A very comfy bed, heaps of cupboard space & a fabulous kitchen. I'd love to stay there again if I'm in DC.

Tim and I are two thirty-somethings who were married in October 2012. I am a regional sales director for medical device company, and Tim is a professional musician.
I grew up in Rochester NY and settled in DC in 2008 after living in South Bend, IN and Owings Mills, MD. Tim grew up in the Chicago suburbs and moved to the area in 2010 after living in Kansas City, Oklahoma City, and upstate NY.
We enjoy spending time with our friends here in DC, as well as in the MD/VA suburbs. Our families are still located where we each grew up, so we also enjoy traveling back "home" to visit.
I am widely known in my circle of friends as the pickiest eater alive, whereas Tim is far more adventurous in the food department! Luckily there are a lot of restaurants in the area that we can agree on.
Our musical tastes are also quite different; I am a fan of 90's alternative rock (and lately more Indie / Electronic) while Tim prefers Classical. Although Tim refuses to see certain bands in concert with me (Smashing Pumpkins) and I refuse to attend any Operas or Musicals, we have gone to several concerts together (Stone Temple Pilots, Tori Amos, Phantogram, Muse...)
As for TV shows, we typically find ourselves watching comedies (It's Always Sunny, Arrested Development, The Soup, Tosh.O, etc.) or certain reality TV shows such as Survivor (my favorite), Big Brother, Hell's Kitchen, and some of the more "serious" shows like Hoarders, Extreme Weight Loss, and Beyond Scared Straight.
