  • Biran & Tim's place was totally awesome.
We needed to walk only few minutes to subway and some groceries. And there was a great thai restaurant.(Beau Thai. Great!!!)

The place was clean, cozy and just perfect to stay:)

A hundred percent recommends !! I will choose again that place definitely.
Thanks for Brian & Tim. :)

  • Brian and Tim are excellent hosts. They kept us informed well in advance, and everything they said would happen - did happen. The apartment is a credit to them, and everything is so new and we wanted for nothing. The neighborhood is good, and only a short walk to the subway, convenience stores and excellent restaurants.

  • Brian was wonderful, and the condo was immaculate. They provided very nice touches like snacks, coffee and a great binder of information for cool spaces to check out in the area. Everything was very clean, the bed was comfortable, and we easily found free parking on the street nearby. We would definitely stay with Brian again.

  • Clean, big, modern appartment at a great location! We walked in 30 minutes to the National Mall. You also can go by metro of hire bikes. We also really enjoyed the 'Big Bear Café' just 5 minutes away. Great food and service!

Last but bot least, we felt very safe and welcome! Tim and Brian are great hosts.

  • The experience of staying in Brian and Tim's apartment was wonderful. The apartment is beautiful and close to metro, bus and even 2 mins walk to a Thai restaurant. Brian was very friendly and thoughtful, he explained every details about the apartment when we first check in and answered any of our questions about this DC trip very promptly. Great airbnb experience!!!

  • We had a great time staying at Brian's unit. It was perfect for our requirements and what we loved about it most was the thought and care that had gone into stocking the unit. Everything you could need was there, all appliances worked perfectly and it was warm and comfy. Brian and Tim were very nice, helping with tips and directions for getting round Washington DC. We had a drink with them one night and enjoyed their company very much.
We would stay nowhere else if we were ever in that city again and we could not recommend Brian and the unit more highly. Rhonda and Colin.

  • This was my first AirBnB experience to date and it was all around excellent. The listing and pictures are accurate, the apartment is spotless, modern and fully featured, and Brian and Tim were outstanding hosts. They were incredibly accommodating in the face of an unexpected issue with their water heater, giving us plenty of notice before the date of our stay and providing us with a few options for how to proceed. The neighborhood is great as well, about 5 minutes away from the Shaw metro station and with plenty of restaurants and bars nearby.

  • Thank you for five great days in Washington. The apartment is like shown on the fotos. It is perfect and Brian and Tim have prepared everything you need for your stay in Washington.

You have only five minutes walk to the next metro station. The yellow and the green line connect you with all tourist attractions. Fantastic restaurants are only some blocks away. Our favorite for breakfast: "The big bear cafe".

Our conclusion: It was the right decision to book this apartment and we can recommend it without any qualification!!!

Tim and I are two thirty-somethings who were married in October 2012. I am a regional sales director for medical device company, and Tim is a professional musician. I grew up in Rochester NY and settled in DC in 2008 after living in South Bend, IN and Owings Mills, MD. Tim grew up in the Chicago suburbs and moved to the area in 2010 after living in Kansas City, Oklahoma City, and upstate NY. We enjoy spending time with our friends here in DC, as well as in the MD/VA suburbs. Our families are still located where we each grew up, so we also enjoy traveling back "home" to visit. I am widely known in my circle of friends as the pickiest eater alive, whereas Tim is far more adventurous in the food department! Luckily there are a lot of restaurants in the area that we can agree on. Our musical tastes are also quite different; I am a fan of 90's alternative rock (and lately more Indie / Electronic) while Tim prefers Classical. Although Tim refuses to see certain bands in concert with me (Smashing Pumpkins) and I refuse to attend any Operas or Musicals, we have gone to several concerts together (Stone Temple Pilots, Tori Amos, Phantogram, Muse...) As for TV shows, we typically find ourselves watching comedies (It's Always Sunny, Arrested Development, The Soup, Tosh.O, etc.) or certain reality TV shows such as Survivor (my favorite), Big Brother, Hell's Kitchen, and some of the more "serious" shows like Hoarders, Extreme Weight Loss, and Beyond Scared Straight.
