Tim and I will be very receptive to maintenance requests; please notify us ASAP if you need anything or if something does not function properly.
If you have any questions, please contact us prior to booking.
I don't know how my stay could have been any better. The location (in the heart of DC) was ideal--I even found street parking for my entire stay. The highlight was the home. Quiet. Private. Posh. Well appointed. Clean. Comfortable. Ideal. Brain, the host, had every detail thought through...from restaurant suggestions to laundry detergent. I highly recommend staying at their place.
I don't have much to add to all the other rave reviews for this place. We checked in early, which was no problem. The apartment was clean and spacious, and the neighborhood is quiet. The kitchen is well supplied with essentials for cooking. Brian and Tim have lots of helpful suggestions for places to eat and things to do, and there's also lots of information in the apartment itself.
The location is excellent: 5-6 minutes from the Metro, and in about 3 stops you are down by the mall and museums. We went to a play one night, and we were walking in the door of the apartment about 20 minutes after the play ended--it couldn't be more convenient than that! It's a 10 minute walk from the apartment to a large grocery store, and there are plenty of bars and restaurants in the area.
We would definitely stay here again.
Brian and Tim's place was the best! It was super clean and well presented (it even smells good!) the kitchen was huge, bed comfy and we had everything we could have needed. They even provided little things like laundry detergent. We felt very safe walking around the lovely neighborhood and were very close to the subway and bus stops. We didn't meet Brian, but Tim was wonderful, very friendly and so helpful to us when we had an unexpected change of plans. So a big thanks to Tim! We would absolutely recommend this place to family and friends and hope to stay again!
Everything was just perfect. The Apartment is huge, very clean and in a Great Location. 5 min walk to the next Metro and even walking distance to Washington Downtown.
Brian and Tim were lovely hosts, and truly thought of everything to make our stay enjoyable. Upon arrival, we were greeted by Tim, who introduced us to the apartment and gave us great recommendations as far as dining and local activities. They provided us will all amenities we could ask for, from kitchen supplies to a binder full of dining recommendations. The apartment was clean, cozy, and very well-decorated! They were very accommodating, and even let us store our luggage after checkout before out flight. We had a fabulous time in DC, thanks to Brian and Tim!
Brian and Tim were warm and welcoming. The apartment had lovely "extras" - fruit and snacks, coffee and tea, toothpaste and even an extra toothbrush! It's a lovely apartment, convenient to the Convention Center. I would certainly stay again. Thank you.
Brian was terrific -- the place was immaculate, the bed was super comfortable, there was so much information about the area available, and they even provided refreshments! (I think I still have a granola bar from the stay in my bag!). I would definitely stay here again, and the location was swell (~5 min walk to the Metro).
Tim and I are two thirty-somethings who were married in October 2012. I am a regional sales director for medical device company, and Tim is a professional musician.
I grew up in Rochester NY and settled in DC in 2008 after living in South Bend, IN and Owings Mills, MD. Tim grew up in the Chicago suburbs and moved to the area in 2010 after living in Kansas City, Oklahoma City, and upstate NY.
We enjoy spending time with our friends here in DC, as well as in the MD/VA suburbs. Our families are still located where we each grew up, so we also enjoy traveling back "home" to visit.
I am widely known in my circle of friends as the pickiest eater alive, whereas Tim is far more adventurous in the food department! Luckily there are a lot of restaurants in the area that we can agree on.
Our musical tastes are also quite different; I am a fan of 90's alternative rock (and lately more Indie / Electronic) while Tim prefers Classical. Although Tim refuses to see certain bands in concert with me (Smashing Pumpkins) and I refuse to attend any Operas or Musicals, we have gone to several concerts together (Stone Temple Pilots, Tori Amos, Phantogram, Muse...)
As for TV shows, we typically find ourselves watching comedies (It's Always Sunny, Arrested Development, The Soup, Tosh.O, etc.) or certain reality TV shows such as Survivor (my favorite), Big Brother, Hell's Kitchen, and some of the more "serious" shows like Hoarders, Extreme Weight Loss, and Beyond Scared Straight.
