  • We had a fantastic stay in Tina's townhouse. It has all the necessities like washer and dryer and a fully stocked kitchen which was indispensable given the high cost of dining out in Port Douglas. I loved the upstairs open floor plan with the kitchen and living room and the lovely balcony overlooking a beautiful garden below There is no wifi but we asked about it beforehand so it was not a surprise. Tina is a fabulous host and a great source for information about things to do in the area. It was a shame that we could not go sailing in Tina and Will's catamaran due to the weather, but we were still able to spend time together on the boat chatting, sharing stories, getting cooking tips and enjoying Will's delicious cooking!

  • Tina's place was great for my husband, my daughter and her friend to stay and enjoy Port Douglas. We has plenty of room, use of her well-stocked kitchen, and laundry facilities. My husband and I will always treasure the most wonderful day we had on Tina's spectacular catamaran yacht. Even if you chose not to stay at Tina's place it is worth contacting her about a sail.

  • Roisin & I spent 5 wonderful days in Tina's beautiful 2 bedroom 2 bath apartment in a peaceful 6 unit complex with a really fantastic, free form pool located in the 4 mile beach area. This is the best area to stay in the Port Douglas area; a pleasant bike ride into town but on a beautiful beach away from noise & crowds of town. Tina's apartment has everything you will need, including the use of 2 bikes.

Tina is the perfect host; based on your preference she will respect your privacy, but she is always available to help you plan your activities in the North Queensland area. There is also a tremendous extra benefit in getting to know Tina. She conducts small group or private tours into the World Heritage sites. She took us a fantastic hike into Mossman Gorge within Dainbtree Rain Fredt. Tina also arranged for a catamaran sail to the Great Barrier Reef. It was an unforgettable trip of a life time! In summary, North Queensland was wonderful; Tina made it unforgettable!!!!

  • Tina's space was perfect for our time in Port Douglas. There was plenty of breeze keeping it cool and we were able to do some laundry which was very helpful. The kitchen had everything we needed to make meals while we were there. It was centrally located accommodating all of the things we wanted to do. Tina was absolute lovely and invited us to share time on their catamaran, enjoying some wine and dinner with our lovely host! I'd recommend this space to everyone.

  • Tina was a very welcoming host-she made sure she was at the townhouse when we arrived to give us the keys, show us around the house and give us some great tips about the area which were really useful.

The house was great too, 45 minute walk down the beach to the main strip and a 5 minute shuttle ride if you didn't fancy walking, so really convenient.

The house was clean and full of character, and squeezed in me and 4 friends so it was perfect for our stay and I would definitely recommend it for staying in Port Douglas. The living area upstairs is nice and spacious and theres some nice outdoor space too -on the balcony and in the communal garden area.

Thanks again for your hospitality Tina!

  • We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Tina's Tropical Townhouse. We felt totally comfortable in this spacious, immaculately clean, well-equipped home with lovely furnishings and decor.

The setting is so pretty and tranquil with a balcony overlooking gardens and pool. Also it is perfectly located just a quick walk to the beautiful beach at Port Douglas, minutes from downtown boutiques and eateries, and with easy access to the highway for trips to the Daintree River and Mossman Gorge.

Tina is kind and committed to helping her guests, and very informed about the area and reefs. When we were forced to change our plans due to Cyclone Ita, Tina gave us excellent advice and kept us informed as to the impact of the cyclone and our options. This helped us turn what might have been a disappointing situation into a memorable and exciting experience. Thank you, Tina and Will for everything.

We will recommend Tropical Townhouse to our family and friends who are fortunate enough to visit North Queensland.

  • This was my first visit to Australia and i was so welcomed by Tina and Will. They were very helpful, rented us bicycles, advised us on the local amenities and we also went on a day trip with them to the barrier reef which was amazing because it was so personal and very reasonable. The house is really spacious, clean, has everything you need and is within a community of 6 other houses with local residents making you feel like home from home. It is 45 mins walk from the main town (or 15 mins cycle) so it is very relaxing and peaceful and the swimmimg pool was very needed as it was so humid when we were there. I would definitely stay there again and recommend it to couples and families alike.

We really enjoyed our stay there. Also They helped us out with everything and gave us some great tours. Definitely a recommendation! Thank you Tina and Will!

  • This is an absolute gem of a place! A shared pool with friendly neighbours and everything you could need in the house. The location is great with facilities nearby and Port Douglas , down the road is an up market friendly town. Tina and partner were great hosts and the day out sailing on their catamaran was brilliant.
No hesitation in recommending this lovely spot.

Recreational Tours & Therapies, Port Douglas QLD
My name is Tina and I live in a loving little Townhouse- Community in Port Douglas, Far North Queensland. As a Body Therapist, Tour Guide and freelance Journalist I like working a lot. It's working with People, Plants and Animals. It's all about making People feeling good and happy and getting Mini-Groups to Places off the beaten track, doing things nobody else get to do. I'm working together with the English Language Centre in Port Douglas, which gives me a nice chance to introduce overseas Students to our unique, abundant, tropical Area. We are also hosting holiday guests & catering for RECREATIONAL RETREATS, providing Accommodation, Massage Treatments on Land and in the Water, creative Workshops, Walks, Talks, Tours, Laughs & fresh, healthy, yummy Food. The Australian Tropics are an incredibly beautiful, precious and versatile Region. I love the warm climate all year around and when I walk along 4 Mile Beach, I'm still feeling like a Guest of this special Place, after all the 10 odd years I have been here on and off. From 2010 until 2012 we have been building our 12m Catamaran in Mossman, launching Siva in February 2012 and sailing the Great Barrier Reef, as well as the whole QLD east coast for 6 month until May 2013. So I also like sailing and living on our yacht. Particularly during the Whale Season (July/August), the Coral Sea is absolutely magic! A Trip to Lizard Island during that time of the year, is likely to become an unforgettable event, with watching our Marine Life in full :-) I love Whales, Dolphins, Turtles and unplugged Music, Dance, good Stories & interesting conversations, exploring new Places, Ancient Cultures, Thermal Springs, listening to Birds and the Ocean, Photo-Safari in the Mossman Gorge or Port Douglas Peninsula, ..Jungle surfing in Cape Tribulation and of course eating yummy fresh, local products. And what would life be without a handful of Friends, a good laugh and a glass of crisp Sauv- Blanc at the end of the day..
