Great vibe, good energy. Love the outdoor space and chandeliers hanging from the trees. My favorite part was the outdoor bamboo shower. It was neat to shower outdoor yet still have the privacy. The lavender soap provided was really refreshing too. The cabin had just enough for what we needed, a soft comfy bed, sink, plenty of outlets, wifi and coffee (the organic coffee was delicious). Unfortunately we didn't get to meet our host.. maybe in passing??? :) but check-in instruction provided went smoothly. Other guests were nice and friendly, nothing too hippie bohemian nudes crazy as what we might have originally thought (damn j/k sorta) just two couples and a family in the larger unit. All in all a nice quite peaceful retreat. I would recommend this and would come here again.
The host & property caretaker made me feel very welcome. The property is beautiful, and proved to be a peaceful getaway. I love the artful, tasteful design of the location, and enjoyed the refreshing indoor/outdoor vibe of the place.
Mark is incredibly cool, and I hope to stay here again in the future.
Wonderful stay. Cabins are small but well outfitted, and in a peaceful setting. The outdoor kitchen is a highlight--has all required utensils and equipment for a meal from scratch but very suitable for warming up leftovers. Bathrooms are clean and the outdoor showers charming and tranquil. Shower gel, shampoo, and conditioner from Whole Foods. Provided coffee is organic and tasty. Obvious attention in all aspects for a tasteful and funky stay. Hot tub was great. Owner and caretakers very fine people. Good communication for coordination for check in and out and any requests. Easy to find, available on-street parking, close to restaurants and bars but still secluded. I'd stay again.
My boyfriend and I had a great experience staying here- I loved the outdoor space and living and all the animals running around. Dan and Melanie were excellent hosts that made us feel welcome and it was overall a really pleasant stay. The bed was super comfy too! Just note that there are ALOT of bugs around so be warned (we left with quite a few bites and spied many a spider) but the baby chicks that were there definitely made it worth it. I hope to stay here again next time we're in town!
Love this place and the vibe! Hosts super helpful and friendly. Had a super relaxed time here. Hot tub great bonus after long days walking around with bags!
Our host Mark made us feel right at home. We grabbed two of the better bikes in the lot and rode all over Ojai and Meiners Oaks--something I highly recommend because most of the terrain is rather flat. The neighborhood is chill and thankfully the Deer Lodge bar is right around the corner. Showering in the bamboo covered area was a treat. Our room was quaint and comfy. The sink was a plus. Ojai is a vegetarians delight, we spent plenty of time at The Farmer and the Cook--less than 5 mins away by bike. We hiked and dunked in the river about 5 miles away. We relished driving through the seemingly endless orange groves. For beer lovers I highly recommend Ojai Beverage Company. We even got some work done in the yard and hung out with Elijah, a friendly feline. We cooked quesadillas under a star lit sky in the outdoor kitchen. All in all a lovely time was had.
Quirky and cute rural property. Great location for access to the Los Padres National Forest and downtown Ojai. Love the cats, chickens and outdoor showers!
