About this listing
Beautiful, creative, artistic environment at the point where three neighborhoods meet. This room is calm and tranquil, with minimal decor and neutral tones.
One block from the subway.
This is the last stop in Williamsburg on the J/M/Z train.
A beautiful and sunny apartment on the 2nd floor it features 2 private bedrooms both with full size beds. Each room accommodates 2 people. Bed rooms are back to back, joined by individual closets, so there's no noise. White in the front and Beige in the back. There's a huge open living room, dining area with a table and an enclosed kitchen. There are plants every where there is sun light, along with art work from my private collection. Apartment is modest, minimal and temperature controlled.
The Beige Room is in the back of the apartment where the light is beautiful. It's very quiet with a tranquil atmosphere, perfect for 2 people, as it's a little bigger than the white room. Fresh bedding and towels are always available.

Kitchen, bathroom, living room, pretty much everything. Guests are encouraged to relax after a long New York City day and make them selves at home here.
I give people space and I'm here if they need me.
I'm always happy to help with directions, guid books and practical NYC insider advice.
The last stop in Williamsburg on the JMZ train, this culturally mixed neighborhood is situated on the edge Williamsburg where Bushwick meets Bed-Stuy. Here you will find an avant garde area known for its vibrant underground scene. This up and coming neighborhood is stirring with bohemian night spots, funky cafes, dive bars, art gallery's and junk shops all in walking distance. Not to mention everything is very affordable and vey close to Manhattan.
The J/M/Z train is One block away, about a four minute walk. The J goes downtown and the M goes uptown.
You can take the subway here directly from JFK.
This is a great station because there are always two trains heading into the city. The J train runs express during rush hour and is 2 stops from Manhattan, very close and very fast. The M runs local and is about a 15 minute subway ride into Manhattan. This above ground train takes you over the Williamsburg bridge and is not as aggressive as the L train rush hour commute.
The L train is available however, about a 15 minute walk to the Jefferson stop. I personally prefer the J or M because its just outside the door.
There are two rooms here.
This is the last stop in Williamsburg on the JMZ train. The Flat is located on the Border of Bed-Stuy where the streets of Broadway and Myrtle intersect. The neighborhoods of Bushwick and Williamsburg, are both accessible with in minutes. You can walk into the interesting area's of Bushwick and take the subway a few stops to the trendy part of Williamsburg. Like anything in NYC, you need to know where you're going and I can direct you there.
One Block from J/M/Z train.
Unregistered guests are not permitted to stay the night.
Do not let anyone you do not know personally into the apartment...(not anyone)
The room is kinda small but the bed is super comfortable! Also GiGi is so sweet and I had a really great time
Totally welcome! She included helpful links (that I actually referenced!) and was such a sweet heart from the moment I called to let her know I had arrived at her corner. Highly recommend. Super cute.
Clean, quiet; a good room with a/c. GiGi was super organised and with a warm Brooklyn welcome. Went out of her way to find me a charger. Thanks.
Gigi was a perfect host. She's super attentive and very personable. Staying with her was like staying with a good friend. Her place is a nice renovated apartment and very comfy.
It's very easy to access from the subway making getting around convenient.
The area still retains the authentic gritty feel Brooklyn is known for, with original buildings, unlike Williamsburg which has been largely redeveloped and is somewhat of a yuppie enclave. Nonetheless the area is very safe, so no concerns there. Highly recommend staying with Gi and you'll likely end up with a new friend!
Gigi was great at keeping me posted about arrival and all that jazz. She is a warm and kind host, interesting, too. She is a photographer, and her cool work is all over the apartment.
Gigi's place is very cool; as is she! I was in the city to start a new job, and her apartment was a quiet oasis, perfect for recharging after a long, hard day. The room is perfect for one person: It has a super-comfy bed, and plenty of room for hanging clothes in the closet. There is an A/C (very nice for sticky summer nights), the room and the apartment is very clean and welcoming.
It's close to the JMZ trains and there are tons of great little markets, including a fruit-and-veg place called Mr Kiwi, which I loved!
Gi Gi was very friendly and accommodating. she allowed us to use the place a bit longer than check out which was helpful for our plans. the room was very cozy and clean.

About the Host, Gi Gi
I'm an artist from New York and have lived in NYC for 13 years. I love traveling and have been all over the world. The most interesting thing to me is the beauty and hospitality you can find once you open your self up to new things. New York City is an adventure in its self. This is a secure place to begin and end the escapade.
As a host I like to give people space and let them enjoy the apartment. I'm a very social person but also love privacy. Every situation is different and I find it very important to respect people needs on an individual basis. I live here and work here often, so chances are we will be running into each other. I always give my guests priority and make sure they are very happy.
I've had great experiences doing this. I've met the most amazing people and have made life long friends. Sometimes we have a drink together, occasionally a smoke, sometimes we have tea, sometimes we move all the furniture and have a dance party, tend to stay up late talking, do graffiti in the streets, switch up the art work in the house, and sometimes we just simply pass each other and have a nice chat.
Either way, I warmly invite you to stay.
