Interaction with Guests
Bev realized her dream of an eco-friendly “Passive House” (well insulated, triple pane windows, tightly sealed with air exchange unit) with a beautiful dance and yoga studio, by totaling renovating and adding a second floor to a hidden treasure of a one floor duplex. Nestled in the eclectic Woolen Mills “village’ of Charlottesville, her unique home is light filled, roomy and comfortable. She enjoys the sounds of the train and the neighborhood chickens and goats, walks by the river, strolls through the near by cemetery, and weekly shopping in the farmer’s market down the street.
Charlotte, Bev’s daughter, lives right off the Downtown Mall, and uses the yoga and dance studio for her Movement Based Expressive Arts practice.
Bus stop a half a block away
I have an older cat, Zoe, who lives both in the house and outside.
There is no cable TV in the house.

NO Smoking allowed in the house.
I will do my best to provide you with a great stay in Charlottesville.
We had a short but sweet stay. Beverly was wonderfully clear with check-in instructions. The place is so beautiful and sunny. A truly wonderful space. Only wish I had had enough time to enjoy the yoga/ dance/ art space. The house is a very short walk from the Rivanna River trail which is lovely and was the perfect cap for our overnight stay.
Charlotte was quick to respond. There is a great book of maps and brochures of local attractions waiting for you. The space is delightful and charming; very peaceful and airy. The back porch is great! Riverview Park is at the end of the street with a nice walking trail. Very convenient to downtown and to major byways if you want do the wineries or Monticello. Quiet spot. Zoë the house cat stays outside, but you will want to bring her in. She is a sweetheart. I would definitely stay again. Thank you, Charlotte!
This was my first time using airbnb. I couldn't have imagined a better situation than charlotte's (website hidden)'s a 5 minute drive from the downtown mall, yet feels hours away from chaos. Charlotte is extremely accommodating and responsive. My boyfriend and I came here for our anniversary, and it was exactly what we were looking for. The views from the living room are breath taking. Also, I've never been inside a house with that much natural sunlight-it's really nice in the morning! Everything was perfectly clean. The yoga/ dance space downstairs is a huge bonus if you want to stretch. Definitely coming. back!
The house was great - quiet neighborhood, great views, and really comfortable. There was even coffee and tea and a bottle of wine for us to enjoy on Valentine's. The only thing I would note is that if you need a queen-size bed to be comfortable, the bedroom only has a full!
This was a great place to stay for the weekend! There is a beautiful view of the mountains and a lovely kitchen. The location was very central - a quick 5 to 10 minute drive from downtown Charlottesville. Charlotte provided a helpful binder full of information on things to do in Charlottesville and offered wonderful restaurant suggestions. Would gladly stay here again.
We had a wonderful time at the Eco House. Unfortunately we didn't get to meet Charlotte or Beverly but they were available via text and email, quickly responding. The house was in a great location, very clean and comfortable. My only regret was that we didn't get to spend more time there and on the back deck!
Also, Zoe the out door cat, was there to greet us each time we arrived and to send us off as we left. Highly recommended!
What a relaxing and lovely home! We had a great stay! Bev, was a wonderful hostess!
Bev and her daughter Charlotte are long time residents of Charlottesville.
Bev works as a Leadership Coach and Consultant, and also teaches Movement and Meditation. She is having a great time creating gardens in her yard. When she isn’t doing those things, she enjoys hiking, eating out on the Downtown Mall with friends, dancing, traveling around the world and meeting new people through Air B and B : ) .
Charlotte is a Movement-based Expressive Arts Coach and Facilitator and also does child and senior care. She loves to dance Nia and 5 Rhythms, take long walks through the woods with her dog, cook local foods, create and be with her loved ones. She worked in a bed and breakfast for over a decade and highly enjoys meeting and hosting people from all over the world!
