I can really recommend a reservation with Susana. I lived in one of her rooms for 5 nights and was very happy. Susana is a warm and likable person. She helps with advice if needed. I felt "at home".
On a scale of 1-10, I give Susana and accommodation 9.5
The small minus side is that the apartment is dark, but then it is simultaneously cool and outside the sun is shining ...
Thank you Susana, I'll be back soon ...
Susana is a very welcoming and friendly host and you will feel like at home. Her house is very beautiful and unique, and the location is perfect in the city center, so you can just walk to all the major attractions.
Susana's house is old, beautiful and spacious - it could be a museum when it comes to local architecture. I liked staying there, sometimes it was so quiet I had the impression of being on the floor of the ocean (of which you can see a sliver if you lean out of the window). For most of my stay though, this wasn't true: I was lucky enough to see (and smell) the carnival, and all the monkeys and nuns and sailors and monsters and fairies and Star Trek crew members turned the town into a surreal, loud and joyous place that is quite unforgettable.
Raymundo. El Salvador.
I loved staying at Susanna's. She and her three year old daughter are charming and very accomodating. I enjoyed practicing Sp[anish with her. She had two other guests staying in two other rooms. The location is terrific - be sure to visit the Plaza de Las Minas - a block away - where families and children hang out in the evenings.
