Unbeatable location in Baltimore! Had everything 4 ladies needed for a comfortable weekend within walking distance to shops, restaurants, bars, and museums. Being on a houseboat was a bit of an adventure and the storm that blew through on our first night resulted in a less-than-gentle rock to the boat, but we survived it unscathed. One in our party needed motion sickness prevention meds. Felt very safe and neighbors were helpful and friendly. Moderate noise intrusion at night - a box fan would help for sensitive folks.
Our stay on the Delphinus Houseboat was unusual, enjoyable and memorable! As we expected, the space is compact and functional. Our adult daughter opted for the couch, rather than the tiny sleeping loft, which she would have adored as a child. The bathroom was functional, the kitchen was well equipped, and we enjoyed our morning breakfasts on deck. Does the boat rock? Yes, it does, gently most of the time, it was like sleeping in a waterbed, which my husband had back in the day. When other boats puttered by, the boat did rock more, but it was thrilling, reminding us that we were at sea. Communication with the host was excellent. Our check-in was smooth sailing! Donovan even helped us figure out how to use the DVD player and the coffee maker. The location was fantastic! We loved being so close to the harbor, and near to Fells Point restaurants. What was the best part? Telling everyone at the family party we were attending that we were staying on a houseboat. A great conversation starter!
The place was exactly what we wanted. Great location and nice and clean. We had one little problem getting connected to the wifi and that was corrected in a timely manor. We are boat people so we were very impressed with the size and layout of the place.
Our group had a great time at the Delphinus houseboat. Great location and very easy to find. Clean and full of useful kitchen items.
I had a great stay on Delpfinus in Fells Point. The boat was clean and very comfortable. The Sleep afloat people were very responsive and friendly.
The weather was very hot (mid 90's) but the two a/c units kept the boat very cool and comfortable. The master bed was excellent.
Parking was easy and free and so much was within walking distance.
I plan on staying there again and would highly recommend Delphinus to anyone.
Really enjoyed the stay. It was a great houseboat. Very clean and bed was very comfortable. Love the area, Fell's Point is awesome. Great restaurants! Check out Blue Moon for breakfast & Koopers for a casual lunch or dinner. Only a couple of negatives. Really nice hanging out on the upper deck.
1. Houseboat rocked enough to give slight headaches to my wife & son, but we are definitely land lubbers.
2. It was hard to find the exact fee we were going to pay. It was different on Air BnB, VRBO and the sleep afloat websites.
That being said we would stay on the Delphinus again.
