The Space

This large, bright, charming and newly remodeled studio apartment is located on a quiet side street only a 5 minute walk to Glen Park Village, Bart and muni J-Church (with it's antique trolleys from other countries), as well as many bus lines, and zipcar or citycarshare locations.

This comfortable place has the following:

• A queen-sized bed and convertible sofa that turns into a full bed.
• A large, fully equipped kitchen where you can cook your own meals.
• A dining area that looks out onto an outdoor patio that is relaxing to sit out and have a cup of coffee or cocktail.
• Radiant heating throughout.
• A bathroom with both shower and bath.
• A walk-in closet to store your clothes and luggage.
• All modern necessities: a flat screen tv with cable programming, free wifi and broadband connection, Bose iPhone/iPod dock, clock radio, ironing board and hair dryer.
• A friendly dog that likes to sit out front of your door.

If you choose to stay in the neighborhood, you can enjoy many of it's great offerings. Enjoy a hike, tennis or basketball in Glen Park Canyon or St. Mary's Park, explore stairway walks that wind through amazing hidden treasures, fantastic dining experiences in places like Gialina Pizza, one of the top 100 Bay Area restaurants for the last three years, La Petite Laurent, Chenery Park, Destination Bakery, or pick up your own groceries at Canyon Ranch and cook up a nice meal in your fully equipped kitchen. Neighborhood taquerias and pupuserias also offer some of the best and cheapest eats around. Don't hesitate to ask your hosts for the latest and greatest in dining, local events and sightseeing locations.

This location is ideal for business travelers, a couple, small family or travel companions seeking a fun getaway and private apartment. It has easy access to everything you would want to see in San Francisco and outlying areas. Glen Park Bart has direct service to SFO and the Oakland Airport, 10 mins. to downtown San Francisco, easy access to the Peninsula and East Bay. Easy street parking and convenient freeway access to both 280 and 101, makes renting a car an easy option also.

The Neighborhood

Our neighborhood is a great spot. It's a quiet neighborhood with many restaurants, bars, parks super close by.

Getting around

We are very conveniently located to many modes of public transportation. We are just a few minutes from the Glen Park BART station that is the artery of the city. We are also close to many buses and the J-Church line which get you to all other parts of the city you would want to visit.

  • Leslie and Todd's place is a little haven in San Francisco! You can fully relax and enjoy downtime from the city upon arrival. I would recommend this place to friends and family!

I didn't find the parking situation to be as easy as other reviewers had said. The street is very narrow and spaces are small, not easy if you have an compact SUV or bigger. But that is a city problem, not a reflection on this place.

Overall, we really enjoyed our stay!

  • Leslie and Todd have an amazing home! The apartment was modern, clean, spacious and perfect for the 3 of us. Close to some wonderful restaurants, an absolutely amazing grocer and of course the handy BART (train) system leading you into the heart of San Fran. This was our first Airbnb experience and we will definitely be recommending this "home away from home" to all of our friends and family that go to San Francisco!

  • We enjoyed our stay very much! The apartment was very clean and the kitchen was well equipped for making a meal or just having a cup of tea and a snack. The apartment is located near many restaurants and small grocery stores. We also enjoyed just walking around the neighborhood. We really appreciated (email hidden) to stay while visiting family in the area. Two thumbs up to our gracious hosts!

  • Leslie's home was everything we expected and more. Our family loved the place so much and it was very conveniently located for our holiday in San Francisco. My mother who joined us on this trip loved the TV programs which we think is quite complete. Parking our car is quite easy on the street, while recycling the thrash was pretty fun :d

The Deli accros the street make really mean cheeseburger, tacos and buritos. Really good!

Glad we could meet the whole family who are really nice and helpful. My daughter loved Goose's daily visit! This is a place that we will definitely comeback to stay in. Its a home away from home.

  • We were very lucky to find Leslie and her flat, especially after several other hosts failed to reply to emails on this and other similar websites. Leslie's communication was fantastic both before and during our stay. Leslie and her family were so helpful, going above and beyond. The flat was immaculate, and perfect even as a family of four with a toddler and a teenager. The kitchen was well appointed making it easy for us to self-cater. Just a few minutes walk to the bus/train and it was easy to get anywhere in the city. The only thing we were disappointed about was not seeing much of Goose! We'll be returning here (if its not booked!) whenever we can get back to SF again someday.

  • My son (22) and I stayed for a week at Leslie's apt while touring San Francisco. The apt was delightful, clean, aesthetic, modernly decorated spacious and very comfortable. The kitchen was graciously well stocked with all the appliances, dishware, pots, coffee makers one could want. The bathroom facilities were also super with plenty of quality towels and all sorts of amenities that one may need . The shower was great with plentiful hot water The place was quiet and private and the outside garden was a charming plus.. We felt extremely comfortable and were able to relax happily in the apt after our hectic days of touring.
Regarding location, as we did not have a car (except for one day when we rented one and then we had no trouble finding parking),so we were dependent on the public transportation of SF. While the apt is just a few minutes walk from the BART and other Muni stops we found the location a bit far out for us and might have done a bit better with some place closer to the center of the city. In the evenings after walking all day the wonderful hills of SF we were a bit reluctant to start travelling back into the center for evening activities. (While the BART is very fast we found the MUNI transport tediously slow) So a few nights we ate out locally. The neighborhood is quite low key although there seemed to be a few restaurants on the main street. We found a charming french bistro place nearby ( unfortunately I forgot the name) which had great food and great vibe at very decent prices. It became our local hangout. Right next store is a large supermarket with lots of whole food/organic style goodies including prepared food, coffee and morning baked goods quite impressive although it seemed a bit pricey.
We did not get an opportunity like other visitors to meet or interact with our hosts except for a quick hello. We did not have mobile phone access in the first few days and so we could not contact them via the phone. However when we did have a question about something in the kitchen we were helped immediately and I imagine that our hosts would have been available if we ran into any additional problems. All in all, the contact before our upcoming stay was friendly and we greatly appreciated the bottle of wine and fresh coffee that greeted us. The apt is quite near the airport which was another plus as it took us by the BART less than half an hour to get there. The place is just off the highway another plus if traveling by car. San Francisco (email hidden) to visit. we were fortunate to have great weather and I think Leslie's apt is in the part of town that has more sun- another advantage. Staying there allowed us to make the best of our stay and I would highly recommend the place to others.

  • Loved Leslie's apartment! it was super convenient from both the airport and to get into the city via the BART. I loved walking around the cute neighborhood. Very safe area. The apartment had everything we needed - a full kitchen in case you want to self-cater, and a nice slice of outdoors on the patio.

Being on the lower level, we did get a bit of noise from upstairs but it was pretty minimal.
