Leslie was a great host. The space is exactly as promised, comfortable and conveniently located. Our favorite part was the double doors which open out onto a quiet garden patio. On a nice day it was great to open these up and enjoy the weather. We'd stay there again.
Leslie was responsive and gave accurate instructions for check in. While we did not see each other as we were always out, she sent me messages to check on how we were.
Leslie's place is in a good location, close to shops and restaurants in a nice neighborhood. At first we thought street parking would be complicated , but it isn't at all. The apartment is nicely decorated with a garden full of flowers at the time we were there, lovely. Our kids loved playing with Finch, Leslie 's dog, who came visit in the morning. In short, we really had a great time at her place exploring San Francisco.
Kudos to Leslie and Todd for sharing their lovely space and being such perfect and welcoming hosts! Prior communication with Leslie was great, and she was always very responsive and patient on addressing our multiple queries! Thanks for the detailed instructions and fuss-free process on checking in!
We totally loved your pad, as it made us feel so at home! The space is super well-designed and well-equipped - cosy, spacious, clean and love the modern contemporary feel, exactly like what we saw in your listing! In fact, it was way above our expectations! Thanks for the welcome wine/coffee beans, and leaving some items in the fridge... Very grateful to your hospitality, and how you've made our first visit to San Francisco a memorable one!
Thanks for the tips on dining and getting around - these were all very helpful! The close proximity to BART (walking est 5 mins), easy access to many dining options, and supermarkets was a big plus point! Also loved the neighourhood, which was very peaceful and safe!
Loved the short conversations with your daughter - it's home stay that gives us the unique experience for cultural exchanges! She speaks wonderful Mandarin, and I hope she will inspire your son to continue his learning! :) And totally in love with Finch too! He paid us a night visit on Day 1, and he's such a friendly puppy! Was licking us all over!
Sorry we left pretty early in the morning, so did not had a chance to personally bid farewell and say thanks to you guys! Will definitely hope to stay in your pretty abode when we're back in San Fran in future! :D :D
We found the place really easy, and locked ourselfs in as according to the info Leslie sent us, and while we were unloading the car, Leslie came home and greated us with a big smile, and a friendly hello.
The place was super awesome, and fitted the three of us perfectly, being a small family with a 4 year old, it's nice to have somewhere you can feel home, and the apartment sure felt like it, so much that our daughter didn't want to leave Finch, the dog, when we had to go.
The street was pretty quiet which was really nice, but if you wanted anything, you only had to walk a few blocks.
There's public transportation close by, and getting around the city from the place was a breeze.
We would stay here again in a heartbeat.
We stayed at Leslie's studio apartment for a week while visiting our daughter who recently moved to San Francisco. The apartment was a perfect base for us as we explored in the city during the day and connected with our daughter in the evenings. Glen Park's center is a short walk away for a place to eat, drink, or get some groceries. If you want to range further it's a quick Bart or Muni ride to expand the number of possibilities significantly. After our long days of exploring and visiting it was great to come back to the apartment to relax. The kitchen is well equipped, the bed very comfortable, and there are plenty of entertainment choices - TV, Roku, wireless internet, and a shelf of interesting books - to unwind with at the end of the day.
When we arrived it was easy to find the house from the Bart station and access the apartment. Upon entering we were greeted with a bottle of wine and coffee, both of which we enjoyed greatly. We appreciated the patio outside our door with fragrant flowers, a bench on which to enjoy morning coffee, and occasional visits from Finch, Leslie's new puppy. The apartment met or exceeded all our expectations and was a bargain compared to San Francisco hotel rates. When we return to San Francisco again we will be checking the calendar for Leslie's place first.
About the Host, Leslie
I'm a San Francisco native and I love this city very much. This house has been in my family for almost 70 years. Crazy.
If you want some great recommendations for restaurants or interesting destinations to visit, I would love to share them with you.
