A log cabin and a lake — the perfect recipe for outdoor fun and peaceful respite. Welcome to the Nockamixon House in historic Haycock Township, PA. Just steps from Lake Nockamixon, this cozy cabin invites you to unwind among hand-hewn beams and vintage charm. Designed for adult guests, the space is not suitable for children, infants, or those with mobility challenges due to stairs and narrow entries.
The space
An ideal destination location, Nockamixon house is within 40 minutes from the vibrant arts and culture scene of New Hope and Doylestown Pa, 1.5 hrs from NYC, 30 minutes from UNESCO’s newly recognized world heritage city of Bethlehem, Pa as well additional locales that cater to the most discerning “foodies” and history buffs. Outdoor activities abound at the lake including seasonal boat rentals, hiking trails, fishing and public pool during the summer and ice fishing and skating in the winter. Should you choose to stay in at the cabin, an outdoor sauna and gas fire pit will be coming soon and provide for optimal relaxation. Please check back with us to confirm availability date.
As host for a smaller and more intimate group, the cabin offers two bedrooms on the 2nd floor; an adjustable King bed and two additional twin XL beds in an adjoining room. True to the layout of old log cabins, the rooms are pass through with a full bathroom available to both rooms. Please note* accessibility to the 2nd floor is only via a traditional narrow, pie stairway. Although the stairway is quaint and historical to the era of the home, it is NOT suitable for individuals with any physical challenges or young children. Secure bars and grip strips have been added to improve safety but we highly recommend you reach out to us if you have any concerns or questions prior to booking.
All rooms are outfitted with luxury Supima cotton sheets, premium towels, and down comforters/pillows. The first floor includes a small kitchen and breakfast table, dining room with seating for 6, 1/2 bath, and a living room with a newly added Jotul gas fireplace in the old walk in fireplace. Hancock and Moore leather sofas and a 52” tv assure movie night will not disappoint.

Wifi, keyless entry, and an exceptionally clean home come as a standard for all our accommodations and should there be anything additionally you need, please don’t hesitate to ask. We will do our best to meet those needs.
We are pet lovers ourselves, but sadly due to others having allergies or pet aversions, we request all guests leave their furry loved ones home. We all need breaks from our pets too :)

*For your safety, the exterior of the house is monitored with security cameras.
