This was a delightful place to stay. Light and peaceful with a lovely porch and view of the garden. There is one queen size bed and a slim second bed in a separate small room. Nice living area and well-stocked kitchen; we enjoyed cooking there and when we wanted an extra oven pan, Carissa kindly supplied it. The atmosphere was clean and light and colorful. It was just right for my husband, my brother and I as a base in Olympia as we hiked in the area and met with our son who lives in town. And great coffee!
We only stayed for one evening, but we thoroughly enjoyed this space. It's immaculate, well organized and Carissa and Gaelen paid attention to small details that helped us feel that we were treasured guests. My girls harvested grapes, apples, pears and wild blackberries from the vast backyard that overlooks and expanse of pines. If you are traveling to or through Olympia I highly recommend this space. And check out the weekend farmers market if you get a chance.
We had a great one night stay at Carissa & Gaelen's place. It was fun to actually be a guest since we have been Airbnb hosts for so long!
Their place is very comfortable with every nice touch you can think of. Such a lovely location with plenty of space for my husband and I with two young sons. Little table and chairs to sit outside was very nice after a long day. Would love to stay here again if we are in the area. Also if you have kids the Olympia Children's Museum is amazing! We could have stayed all day.
The house was easy to find and in a quiet neighborhood with a private beautiful yard. We were greeted with chocolate, which a a great morale booster after a long journey! In the morning there was fresh coffee and cream which meant we could have a leisurely time and not have to run off to locate a cup of joe!
The welcome was perfect. There were fresh cut flowers, all our questions were answered and it was clean and quiet.
We immediately felt welcomed and at home in this sweet apartment. I could not have been happier with the peaceful setting and our sweet, thoughtful hosts. If I find myself back in Olympia again, this will be my number one choice of places to stay!!
Evergreen Gateway is a lovely spot with everything one needs to spend a relaxing time away from the hubbub. But the loveliest of all is Carissa and Gaelen. My husband and are were meeting an old friend who was driving up from Oregon. It was an adventure for us because my husband is on oxygen and in a wheelchair. Carissa and Gaelen were there when we got there and when we left helping us take care of everything. I can't thank them enough for making this time so perfect for us.
About the Host, Carissa & Gaelen
We live in Olympia on the same property as the Evergreen Getaway Apartment. We love this quiet property very much. We work from home a lot of the time so we are accessible if there is anything that you need during your stay, but we will give you plenty of space and privacy as well.
