About This Listing
Rent a room our comfortable home in Los Angeles. This listing is for the 2nd guest room in our home. Guests have access to the kitchen, living room and dining areas. Should we also have guests in the master bedroom this room will share the bathroom with us. We have wi-fi and cable, all amenities. Guests should make themselves feel at home.
Our house is located in a secluded, quiet enclave which fills with early morning birdsong and yet we are within close walking and driving distance to some of the liveliest areas in the city. In fact, we are extremely close to all the interesting neighborhoods in Los Angeles, including our own, Silver Lake. Silver Lake is an artistic, creative and active community. There are plenty of shops, cafes, bars, restaurants just down the street. Local Farmer's market every Saturday and Tuesday. If you are interested in the outdoors, there are many parks and trails to explore. By foot, we are a short walk to Sunset Junction, and adjacent neighborhoods and areas like Griffith Park, Echo Park, Atwater Village and Los Feliz. By car, our house is located 10 minutes to Downtown LA, 10 minutes to Hollywood and N. Hollywood, 20 minutes to Beverly Hills and Mid-town, 20 minutes to Culver City, 15 minutes to Pasadena, 25 minutes to the beach... Easy access to all the major freeways makes getting around town a snap. As a multi-generation Angelino, I'd be more than happy to answer any questions you have about the city.
Plenty of parking.
Towels, shampoo & soap.
-No guests are allowed to stay in the house other than paying guests.
I rented this room for three months and I couldn't have picked a better place!
The location is great. The neighborhood is quiet and beautifull yet there are plenty of bars, cafés, restaurants and supermarkets nearby.
The room itself and the bathroom are clean and private, they provide sheets and towels. There's also a washing machine and a dryer if you would need one.
The house is very cosy and spacious, you will feel right at home! Also the garden is a big plus, it's a perfect spot to relax and enjoy the LA weather.
Above all, Diane and Peter are great people who know A LOT about the city and will be more than happy to give you tips and information if you want to.
Also, Rugby might just be the best dog ever, even if you don't like dogs, he's very calm and sweet and won't bother you.
I couldn't have asked for more and I highly recommend anybody to stay here!
I cannot overstate what a great experience I had with Peter and Diane. This was my first experience on Airbnb, so I was a little nervous. I had no reason to be! I stayed with Peter and Diane for 9 entire weeks, and the entire time I felt completely at home and like I was family. Their home is beautiful, Rugby (the dog) was a joy to be around, and I felt like I could ask them for anything but also that I had my space. They were friendly, caring, and really relaxed. They really made me feel like their home was mine. They also know LA really well, so I could ask them for advice on the area. If I find myself back in LA, they will be the first people I will contact. I just left yesterday and I miss their place already!
Peter & Diane's house is the perfect spot for anyone wanting to get an authentic feel for a beautiful LA neighbourhood and experience the diversity that this city has to offer. Nestled in a perfect location in Silverlake, their house is beautiful, unique and comfortable. I walked to Sunset Junction and the Silverlake Reservoir every day. As well as being close to Los Feliz, Downtown, Koreatown and basically conveniently located to anywhere I wanted to visit. As hosts, I couldn't have asked for better, they are knowledgeable locals who gave me countless tips for places to visit, restaurants to eat at, bars to try and more. You really feel truly welcomed and part of the family when you stay with them. I would definitely stay here again.

About the Host, Peter And Diane
My wife, Diane, and I are endlessly fascinated with Los Angeles and the Southern California natural and cultural landscapes. I'm a transplanted New Yorker and she's a multi-generation native. We love wine, dark chocolate and good conversation.
We have traveled together extensively across various parts of the United States and Canada, to Kyoto and Kyushu in Japan, Oaxaca, Jalisco and Baja in Mexico and Tamil Nadi in South India. Diane has traveled extensively through various parts of Europe. We enjoy life... hiking, yoga, swimming, music, art, friends, traveling and the great outdoors. Recently, we explored many parts of California with the Sierra Club and independently Hawaii, our second home. Both are magical places.
We were engaged out at Indian Cove in Joshua Tree and married at the Wedge in Newport Beach in California.
