  • Very welcoming and warm home, a true piece of Maine history! Denny and Aimee are very comforting people to be around and are open to guests using there entire house as if it was your own. The nature preserve 1/4 mile down the road is a true gem as well. Great for trail running or a beautiful walk with a well maintained network of trails. It was great to enjoy some quality Red Sox baseball with some true New Englanders!

  • Beautiful location and kind welcoming hosts. House filled with Denny's art. Very comfortable room with shared bathroom, with egg and bacon with toast for breakfast. I would return to Denny and Aimee's place.

  • This was my first Airbnb experience and it was a nice one. It was a last minute overnight and I sent Dennie and Aimee a late night text with a question. They answered back early AM and we were on our way. The house was just as everyone described, the bed comfortable, and the hospitality unmatched. I was impressed with what care they took in sourcing their food-organic and local- and he's artist, and so am I. I would go back...thank you...I travel for work and it was nice to get away and not have to wake up in a hotel.

  • Our stay with Denny, Aimee, and Rossetti (their dog) was delightful. The house is wonderful...with lots of character..and the view is idyllic. Denny and Aimee were very accommodating and they made us feel at home the minute we arrived. Our room was cozy, quiet and comfortable. Breakfast was a real treat! Local, farm-fresh ingredients prepared just right. We'll return to the WrapAround Porch in a heartbeat.

  • We had a short but enjoyable stay with Denny and Aimee. Thanks to Denny for being flexible about our late arrival. The house is on a main road, but it can be a little tricky to read the numbers at night - it's set up on a hill, but Denny was nice enough to text that his car was parked on the street in front. The room and shared bathroom were relatively clean. There is no AC, but a fan is provided. The breakfast as mentioned by many was great and all farm fresh products. We really enjoyed the breakfast and conversation with Denny and Aimee. The views from the enormous porch are extraordinary - wow; if it works for you, the porch is lovely to enjoy a book or just quiet time with the view. Location is convenient to nearby points of interest like Marginal Way (20 min drive), beach, etc. It rained a ton the morning we were there, but the weather cleared up just enough so we could enjoy a walk on the Marginal Way, hot dogs at Flos, and some pie from Pie in the Sky. Location is also close to Portsmouth. It was really nice to be in a house with so much beautiful art - great atmosphere. Thanks!

  • This was the first time my husband and I have used Airbnb and we were delighted with our experience-- Aimee and Denny were incredibly gracious, warm hosts and we loved staying at their beautiful house in a peaceful setting. A big highlight was dining on the porch every morning on their lovely breakfast of local, natural food! I would highly recommend them and the Wrap Around Porch. :-)

  • Denny and Aimee were delightful hosts and I was pretty close to nabbing their adorable dog. They greeted us upon arrival and were flexible with check in time. Their house was just lovely and located in a serene spot overlooking the York River.

Breakfast was delicious and hearty (and we appreciated the bread).

The WrapAround Porch is a great place for anyone looking to be a bit more green and enjoy a farm to table breakfast and great conversation.

  • I've used Airbnb twice before, and our (my dad and I) stay with them was so different from my previous two Airbnb experiences. Airbnb provides different kinds of accommodations for different users, and as such, there are people who are looking for either:

    1) A good deal with basic amenities.

    2) An experience similar to (website hidden) in which the guests befriend the hosts, but with more security, professionalism, and accountability.

    3) A "novel" experience of sorts.

    4) A luxurious experience with a personalized touch that no 5-star hotel can really provide, because it's simply not a real home.

I was looking for a combination of #1, 2, and 3, and the Perrins more than fulfilled them all. The Perrins are artists in the truest sense; they live their lives unapologetically. It's a cultural exchange of sorts, and it's refreshing to be able to have such open conversations that are purely curiosity-driven, rather than pushing agendas on either side. I feel like I was not only invited into their home, but into their lives as well. They cared for my dad and I like we were old friends and were conscious of our whereabouts, in case we were to get lost somehow.

Of course, the Perrins understand that every guest has different needs and desires from their stay, and if you would prefer to have a more private experience, they would more than respect your request.

The house is one-of-a-kind, and you'd have to see it in-person just to see how beautiful it truly is. As someone who has lived in the city for 7 years, I was awestruck by the size of their porch alone, which wrapped its way around the house 360 degrees. Mr. Perrin's paintings of landscapes and his wife adorned the house, and the love they have for each other is tangible in every painting.

They also welcome pets for any animal lovers out there and have some of their own.

And, did I mention, that breakfast is delicious :).
