First of all, I will mention the negative things in my opinion about the apartment to be very clear about it and avoid any negative review. The apartment is in the third floor but it is absolutely fine for anyone to use except only very elderly people. The entrance is not being taken care of until now but I am changing this in the next few days and will put some nice flowers and nice things to welcome guests.
If you are looking for a nice warm apartment in the heart of Edinburgh that is also near all the beautiful landmarks of Edinburgh then this is the right apartment for you.

This flat is located in the Old Town. The flat sits in the heart of the action with your choice of places to eat and drink just outside your door! There is also a selection of supermarkets across the street from you if you fancy staying in for your dinner.
There is no need to use public transportation while staying in this flat but if you decide to explore Portabello, the Shore or anywhere else in the Lothians you are sitting on an excellent bus route with buses that take you anywhere in/outside of the city!
The number 35, which goes to the airport is just 2 blocks from the flat on Chamber's Street or South Bridge.

The location was great, just a few minutes walk to the old town. However, the flat is a disappointment as the neighbourhood was a bit dodgy. We were surprised that we had to pass through a rather dodgy tunnel and the environment was old and not so clean. But overall, the apartment itself was presentable, though not as new as shown in the picture.
I must say that photographs show a better apartment that the one you are going to find. I couldn´t say that it is a cozy apartment because many improvements are needed. Bedrooms and beds are more or less what you are expecting to find but there is no spare room to order your baggages or a wardrobe to put your clothes in. Kitchen and household items as glasses and dishes must be upgraded because they are not enough for four people. Living room is more or less ok, and results comfortable. And bathroom needs a reform to make it more comfortable and useful.
There is nothing bad to say about the location, because it´s perfect to visit Edinburgh and to go everywhere walking, but the common rooms of the building and the place where the entry to the building is and the entry itself its upsetting. Not only because it results dark if you are coming on night but because common spaces of the building are not very clean.
My family stayed in this apartment and they said that it is in a very good area, very convenient.
We never met our host but the apartment and keys were easy to find with Meta's recommendations, and the space was exactly as described in the overview. The locations was perfect for us, as it was close to the Royal Mile, across the street from a grocery store, and surrounded by multiple cafe options. The size of the apartment was comfortable for three of us staying over the weekend; however, the dining space would be limited if another person joined. The TV, wifi, shower, and appliances worked wonderfully. Overall, we really enjoyed our stay and found Meta's directions from the airport extremely helpful.
There is no lift that makes travellers a little inconvenient. Except this point, this is a nice choice :)
The apartment is nice and conveniently located near the city centre. Nevertheless, several things were not as we expected: entrance is on a ugly internal court and the spiral staircase (3 floors) is not comfortable with kids. Bedrooms are on Nicholson street, which is quite noisy both in the evening and in the morning.
What disappointed us the most is that, at our arrival, the house had not been cleaned at all, as it was clearly visible from hair in the bathroom, in the kitchen-living room and in the beds. I must say the contact person has immediately come to see the problem and he organized the cleaning for the following morning. Nevertheless, the first night we could have no shower and we were forced to sleep in our own dresses. A general lack of care for hygiene is anyway evident in the apartment.
As a final comment, I would say the apartment would be ok for a group of friends, but I would not recommend it for families.
Our Stay in Edinburg was excellent, the apartment looked just like on the pictures, nice living room and comfortable beds. The best part of the apartment is it’s location, only 15 min walking distance from the castle, Princess street and only 2 minutes away from the next grocery store.
Thanks Hany !!!!!
I would definitely recommend to my friends
