A 37 m2 Studio Apartment located in Sandviken. Just a short walk from Bergens famous Bryggen and historically one of the first urban areas developed in Bergen. The neighborhood is at the bottom of the Fløyen mountain and is renowned for its white traditional wooden houses.
The apartment is newly renovated with a rustic interior. Sacha and Karsten (who call the apartment home) both come from a creative background something which has led to numerous do-it-yourself design and interior solutions. The apartment has a lot of charming details and personality.
It has all the standard appliances including a washer and dryer, Wifi and cable tv.
The apartment used to be a lefse (Thin pastry served folded and spread with butter and other foods) bakery a century ago.
Ideally suited for couples and small families visiting Bergen.

Quirky apartment in a great location; I would definitely recommend if you are in Bergen. The apartment was exactly as advertised and very comfortable. Great communication from Karsten.
Karsten’s apartment is, in a word, amazing. A short walk from the city centre up a steep hill offering fantastic views of Bergen, the apartment is small but packed with charm and everything you would need for a short stay in Norway. With camp beds kindly supplied by Karsten the apartment housed four of us, the kitchen had everything we needed and the bathroom has an excellent shower. Other great attributes included a TV with HDMI cable (yes!), a high-quality speaker system, and a seriously good selection of books (Cormac McCarthy, Hunter S. Thompson, Thomas Pynchon… if only I could stay longer and have more time to read!). Oh, and as you can see from the pictures the place looks really cool with lots of house plants! Bergen itself is a wonderful city, full of neat little coffee shops and art galleries and a chance to escape to hiking trails a short funicular ride away. Overall we had an awesome stay here, and would not hesitate to come back given the chance.
We had a great stay at Karsten's appartment. The location is excellent with very nice views on Bergen and the appartment pretty cozy furnished. The kitchen is a plus. Communication worked well, even when we had some problems with the hot water on first of january! I definately recommend staying at Karstens place.
Location is very good, within few minutes walk of the funicular and fish market. clean place, cozy and homely. Situated on a hill so it might be a little bit of a challenge to drag luggages up in the snow though.
Great neighbourhood, calm, just a few minutes walk from the city centre. The single room apartment easily accommodated three guys, still with space for one more persons in the double bed. Good communication with the host. Recommended.
Karsten's apartment was great for our few days in Bergen. It's pretty well located just a few streets back from the historic wharf. The kitchen was good and we cooked a few meals there. I'd recommend staying in Karsten's apartment.
