  • Had a great stay at John's. He was so helpful! Quick to respond to any of our questions, provided a full Irish breakfast and even a hairdryer. Place was clean and stocked with anything you would need, tea, milk, spices, etc.

  • We stayed at John Stafford's apartment for three nights. We weren't arriving until 1am but he was nice enough to wait up for us. The apartment is great, easily walkable to the city centre.
People have said it's basic, but it had everything we needed, including towels, well stocked kitchen, TV with more channels than we have at home and a really comfortable bed.
John also provides a breakfast pack that we cooked for ourselves for the mornings we were there. It's is a great touch and was very welcome.
It's in a big Georgian building with lovely high ceilings and though we only met John briefly, he was very accommodating and the apartment had maps, and even a welcome book with useful information it in. We couldn't have asked for more.

  • John was a great host. Very responsive to any and all requests and sets the place up well to have a great stay in Dublin. He left a full Irish breakfast in the fridge for us which was much appreciated.

His apartment is a quick 15 minute walk to major sights like Trinity College and St Stephen's Green which was very convenient. The apartment has a lot of Georgian charm.

  • We enjoyed our stay in Dublin. John is a very friendly host and easy to get in touch with. It is a large space with a separate bedroom and living area. We really enjoyed the full Irish breakfast; we ate on it for two mornings. We enjoyed being outside of the tourist area, but make sure to bring earplugs because the train can be a bit loud. For females, make note that there is 1 small mirror in the bathroom and no electrical outlet, so plan on blow drying your hair in the bedroom without a mirror. Overall this is a good place to stay for the location, price, and great host.

  • John was a lovely host, the apartment is very basic but a ok place to be based for a few days. About 10mins walk into the centre. It is on the edge of a dodgy area so I wouldn't recommend for line women travellers. However it's easy to get a cab outside and they are reasonable. All in all we enjoyed our stay and we're really delighted that john invited us to his barbecue. If you are looking for a cheap visit to Dublin this is for you

    Thank you John.

  • John was present to welcome us to his apartment and to show us how various items worked (shower, cooker, heater, etc). As he said, he provided a full Irish breakfast that we enjoyed each morning. He took the time to walk us around the neighborhood pointing out some key places we might like to frequent during our stay - bus station, train station, pub, restaurants. He made recommendations of things to do while in Dublin - take a ride on the DART, for example, and offered use of bicycles. He was available if we had questions or needed help.

  • I guess the balance between price and service is alright. However the apartment is located close to rails, so for early birds as I am, not a problem, but might be something to be considered.
In total, John was a very kind host and always around, which made it easy for us.
