Please take off shoes if you've been out on the farm in the mud. Swinging on the rope swing or having a picnic. Be careful of the fire and generally have a good time.

Ginny was a wonderful hostess! The house was beautiful- the setting in the countryside was like something out of a fairytale! The house is quirky and cute and was very clean and comfortable, and my family really enjoyed our stay!
Ginny's cottage is simply perfect! The open-plan kitchen and the aga is ideal for cooking together with friends and the dining table great for playing boarding games! But what I loved most was the view from the bedrooms-the nicest way to wake up..Also the area is great for hiking with many picturesque routes. We will definately coming back :-) thanks Ginny!
As soon as we arrived, we were greeted and shown the lovely cottage, given Aga and plumbing hints and left in peace with instructions to call if any problems. The garden and cottage were lovely with superb views and direct access to Ginny's land.
If you need a supermarket, 10 minutes away in Stroud, but Sainsbury's will deliver.
We had such a wonderful time at Ginny's place in Painswick. The view was better than the photos can capture. The house was warm and inviting. Spring flowers placed throughout the house were a great touch. Yes the toilet took a bit of getting used to but was a sense of achievement within our party and an ongoing joke. I was hoping that the walk to the pub could have been at night so we didn't have to drive home from a night out but it was so nice to sit around the house at night. Definitely recommend highly.
A lovely cottage with great views, and a lovely garden to enjoy. The beds were very comfy and after all our walks, a great nights sleep. Overall we had a lovely relaxing time. Thanks Ginny
We had an amazing stay at this unique and gorgeous place. It really is quite rustic and feels very cosy and romantic. When you first arrive you might worry it's going to be cold (we stayed in Jan) as there's no central heating but lots of heaters. However it soon warms up and with the aga and wood burner going actually becomes too hot at times! Logs were £6 a basket after the first one for free but it's a really big basket so it's pretty good value! The surroundings are magical and if you have a dog to walk like us he/she will be in heaven! The toilet and shower weren't an issue at all, it's not a power shower tho of course and there's no bath which is a bit of a shame if you enjoy them but if you don't mind that it's perfectly fine. Be aware if you are into cosy nights watching a box set or a movie the TV is pretty old and small but of course it's not the most important thing and you get used to it pretty quickly! Cooking facilities are brilliant, so much fun playing with the aga and every utensil you could need. Situated right in the middle of the beautiful Cotswolds for exploring. All in all a very special and comfortable place, we would go back in a second!
Such a wonderful place. Definitely on the list to return to. What a relaxing getaway.

About the Host, Ginny
I live with my 19 year old son in this lovely apartment in town. I have lived in the middle of the countryside for ages so by moving here you could say that I have gone from the sublime to the ridiculous. But it is great to be in the hub of Stroud. I love sailing, cooking and spending time with my friends, reading, making music and walking. I go away quite a lot. France, Cornwall and London are my most recent forays. Just got back from visiting and working in India and then sailing from Portugal to Mallorca. I like to think I am a relaxed host. Not formal. I would like you to feel that this is home for the time you are here. I couldn't do without my children, Jessica, Morwenna and Brooke, my books, friends, my guitar and my surf board.
