Quercus Bluff is wonderful! The bedrooms are cosy and the bathroom is charming. The main room is grand yet warm (literally, from the amazing Aga cooker) and inviting, with a long wooden table that's perfect for eating and doing a bit of work, comfortable couches, and doors that open onto a beautiful stone patio and garden. As the listing says, there are incredible views from every room and everything you need is provided. We cooked and used the washing machine and appreciated the well-stocked kitchen and fresh flowers in every room. Ginny met us, and was very welcoming and easy to communicate with. Her local pub recommendation was excellent. The cottage location is great; we walked up to Painswick Beacon where there is a terrific view and we drove through lovely countryside and Cotswold villages. We would love to stay here again!

What can I say, this house is the most beautiful we have ever stayed in. Such a homely atmosphere and the location is breathtakingly beautiful. The Aga cooker was a dream come true. Well, this whole house was a dream cone true really. The location is great for hikes as the surroundings are fantastic. Please do visit the woolpack inn, such a lovely pub. Much thanks to David for giving us a tour around the wonderfull house he built. Much thanks to Ginny for the hospitality. Hope to see you soon!

We had a great time at Quercus Bluff. Amazing amazing beautiful scenery just in the back garden. For that reason, we spent a lot of time just enjoying the time in the house and garden. Would highly recommend!

What a lovely place! It is so secluded, easy enough to find and has fantastic views over the rolling Cotswold hillside. Such a lovely home, with beautiful old furnishings and a novel shower room. Loved it!

I couldn't imagine, having seen the photos in the listing, that the property could be nearly as nice as advertised, but to my delight, it was that nice and more! This home is a true gem. Not only does it offer unique features - beautiful windows (some with stained glass), lovely home-warning AGA cooker, a toilet that's more throne than mere plumbing appliance - but it is situated on the most gorgeous parcel of land (which we regret not having explored due to the combined constraints of weather and time). What's more, Ginny makes you feel 110% welcome, not only with thoughtful provisions (the l'Occitane shampoo and conditioner she had out for our stay happen to be my favorites!), but with an inviting nature that truly makes you feel you've found your home away from home. I cannot recommend this stay more highly. Anyone who passes it over is truly missing out.

I live with my 19 year old son in this lovely apartment in town. I have lived in the middle of the countryside for ages so by moving here you could say that I have gone from the sublime to the ridiculous. But it is great to be in the hub of Stroud. I love sailing, cooking and spending time with my friends, reading, making music and walking. I go away quite a lot. France, Cornwall and London are my most recent forays. Just got back from visiting and working in India and then sailing from Portugal to Mallorca. I like to think I am a relaxed host. Not formal. I would like you to feel that this is home for the time you are here. I couldn't do without my children, Jessica, Morwenna and Brooke, my books, friends, my guitar and my surf board.
