About This Listing
The room is quite modest, located in a modernist building in the neighbourhood of Sant Antoni in Barcelona, Eixample area.
There is a double bed (135 cm), wardrobe and desk with a chair, enough for a laptop.
The house is distributed in a typical way in the Eixample district at the end of the 18th century, early 19th. The room has a small window that overlooks the living room, which has a balcony to the street This allows to have privacy and rest assured.
The House has two rooms, one large living room, fully equipped kitchen and bathroom with shower. There is wi-fi, TV, DVD, home cinema.
I live alone, so you would only be with one me in the house. It is an old building, no lift, and the flat is in a third and a half floor.
The area is completely central, in a strategic point that allows you to be close to everything you need for a holiday in Barcelona: 10 minutes walk from Universidad Square and España Square, 15 from Cataluña Square; public transport to the Airport (Aerobus) 2 minutes. 3 metro lines close (Rocafort, L1; Sant Antoni L2 and L3 Poble Sec). Many options for buses, and close to Sants Estació.
The district of Eixample is well known, but Sant Antoni has become one of the most trendy areas in Barcelona, full of bars (Federal Cafe, Taranna), restaurants, Parlament street, cinema, gyms, even a bar with free tapas right in front of house.
Two lines of trees in the street help to make this house comfortable in a safe and really nice area in the city. You would be quite close to other areas as Poble Sec, Raval or the gay area in the Eixample district.
If anything in the house bothers you, please, let me know, so you can have a pleasant and comfortable stay.
In case you can’t find anything in the kitchen or you have any doubt about how an appliance works, just ask.
Please, turn off the appliances after you use them, as well as the lights.
Help me recycling! Plastic in the yellow box, paper in the blue one. The rest, in the bin. Thanks!
In the kitchen you’ll find filtered water. You can take as much as you want. It would be really nice if you help me filling the jar again if you see it’s empty.
As I don’t charge a cleaning fee, I only ask you to keep clean the common areas, and to be careful and respectful with the kitchen stuff and the bathroom. You’re expected to keep clean you’re own room as well, but if you want to get it done, it will be 20€.
The cleaning day for the house is usually saturday morning. Consider this please, you may hear the vacuum cleaner, but I won’t use it if you’re sleeping before 12 am.
Thank you for not being very loud at night, and when getting in and out of the building. We don’t want to disturb the neighbourgs.
Over night guests are not allowed, unless we discuss it and agree something different.
It’s an old bulding, with old doors, so the keys are quite expensive to replace. In case you loose any of them, I’m afraid you’ll have top ay for them, as the cost will be between 40 and 50€.
IMPORTANT: Lock the door completely when you leave the house. Thanks!
I’m very happy you’re here! I wish you the best time in Barcelona. Particularly in this area of the city, there are a lot of fancy and cool places for breakfast, lunch or dinner. Just ask me for tips, we need you to help small business to survive!
Francisco was a great host, easy going, with great, quick communication before the stay and always giving you tips and plenty of personal space once you are in the ground.
It was my first airbnb experience. And a great one! I was at Fran's place for 41 nights. He was always very kind and helpful, and one feels that he cares about the well-being of his guests (e.g. he made dinner on the first evening although he had a long day at work). You can have very enjoyable conversations with him, and at the same time you surely will have your privacy and freedom. The neighborhood is very nice. Luckily, not very busy/noisy but still central (Plaza España = 5min walk; Universitat = 10min walk; Plaza Cataluña = 15min walk). From Fran's flat you can therefore easily explore Barcelona: by foot, by bike or by metro/bus. There is also an Aerobus (airport shuttle bus, costs: around 5 Euros) station very close to his flat. I felt very comfortable from the beginning until the end of my stay, and consequently I would totally recommend his place!
What an amazing place to stay! It was my first experience in airbnb, and I 100% love Francisco's apartment. What I have to say about this place is just perfect.
First of all, it is located near big street (It is totally safe and fine to go back his flat after midnight), and metro station within 3 blocks, so you can arrive a metro station in 5 mins (There is 3 metro station near his house. so comfortable to go everywhere, and go back). It is easy to go to attraction places. Everywhere is located in 5 metro stations, or it is fine to walk to espanya and catalunya. It takes about 7 - 10 mins to get plaza de espanya by walk. Also, it is really easy to move from the airport to his flat (from his flat and the airport too), because there is airport-bus station in 2 blocks.
Also, his apartment is located in the quiet place. This house is well furnished, decorated and cleaned. You are gonna stay a separate one-room with a comfy bed. He suggested some very good places to visit. He is so friendly person, so communication is so easy. There is no trouble in communication with his fluent english and immediate answers.
I stayed here for long time, and I had a great stay in Fran's apartment in Barcelona. Francisco is an amazing person. I could not imagine better host ever. If you would like to stay in a nice located place in Barcelona, I would recommend staying here. Francisco is just very nice person, and I hope to go back :). Muchas gracias, Fran!
The time with Fran went by so swiftly that it was really a shame to have to leave without really being able to establish a closer friendship. I had the flat to myself most of the time because I work from home and Fran works in the office, so I felt as if I were at home. Fran had everything I needed to make me feel at home and his kind and laid-back personality made the flat-share most enjoyable.
The neighbourhood was excellent. You have many options for going out and other amenities nearby. I look forward to my return and wish Fran all the best! Thank you for the comfortable stay.
All round, it was a great experience staying at Francisco's place... Great apartment, great location and great host! From the beginning, Fran was very easy to communicate with, always quick and responsive to my e-mails and messages and he's very relaxed and laid back so I never felt any stress staying there. He also helped me a lot with things I wanted to do.
The apartment itself is really nice. It's kept very clean, it's comfortable and in a good location. You can easily walk to many tourist places and around the apartment are many shops, grocery stores and restaurants so you can get anything you need.
All in all: Five stars! Thanks Fran!
I had a great stay at Francisco's home . Location is just what I wanted if you want to be central but not on the hectic touristic part ... The area is really nice and Francisco indicated some nice places to go out to eat in the area that are just top fantastic , good food , good young cool and trendy atmosphere and away from tourists tours !! Fran's apartment is located in a nice building at 4th floor , and the effort to climb up the stairs is worth discovering a charming apartment , very well decorated and very clean .. Fran is just a nice person that let you feel at home at his his place , the guest room may have the inconvenient that is is has no outside windows but it is a nice size and decoration , well equipped with desk and place for your close .. He offered me a fan but even if it was hot on early September I did not need it ! Bath is also very convenient and clean !. I definitely enjoy my stay and highly recommend Fran's apartment !
