We live two miles from the airport, and three to downtown Portland. We are walking distance to several trails, a cute market, several restaurants and shops, and we're on a bus line that goes into downtown.
The space we are renting is our third floor. It includes a bedroom, private bathroom, a sitting area, closet, and a coffee/tea station. There is not a separate entrance, but there is a door at the bottom of the stairs to give you a little more privacy.
We are offering our third floor. It's more than a bedroom but not quite an apartment. This floor is a dormered space with a bedroom, bathroom, a large closet, and a small sitting area. The skylight at the top of the stairs keeps the space bright. You can only access this space by walking through the house, but there is a door at the bottom of the stairs, so it feels pretty private. The area needs some updating, but it is clean and comfortable. We have a coffee maker in the sitting area, but no fridge, microwave, etc. You are welcome to use our kitchen if you would like.
We have a little boy, and are happy to host others with children. We have some baby equipment available if you are traveling with little ones. The bedroom easily holds a Pack and Play or a small air mattress, so if you are two people plus a child, this would be enough space for you.
The neighborhood is very convenient and close to downtown. We are just over a mile from the Back Cove walking/running trail, and a few miles from the Old Port. We have a cute little market a block away, walking trails down the street, and lots of shops and restaurants within walking distance.
You are welcome to use any of our space except the other bedrooms. We have a beautiful front porch and a shady back yard. The living room is large and comfortable, and includes a toddler play area. We have a dining room or kitchen where you are welcome to eat. Our laundry room is in the basement and you are welcome to use the machines. We also have a few pieces of gym equipment that you can use if you would like.
Interaction with guests
We like to be here at least when you arrive. We are happy to recommend restaurants, activities, and places you should visit. We love Maine and we hope you will too!
