About this listing
Best location in Durango! Dog friendly in a
historic neighborhood two minutes from restaurants and shops. Walk to the train depot. LGBT friendly as well as 4/20 friendly. If the schedule works with mine, airport ride is $20 each way.
My co-hosts are my two dogs. They are four and one and a half and very friendly. We are just three blocks from the train, so don't pay for parking! This is a large, private bedroom with queen bed, east facing windows and black out shades. Think of it as Bed and Coffee as we have wonderful restaurants that are very close. You are also welcome to put some yogurt or other breakfast stuff in the 'fridge and use the stove, microwave and oven. Coffee and tea available at anytime.
Adjacent bath with claw foot tub. Two other bedrooms on the same floor - one is mine, and the third is for my visiting adult children and the occasional visiting medical student. I use a downstairs shower when Airbnb guests are at the house.
Large Victorian home built in the late 1890s with shady front porch and lots of character and charm throughout the house. I even have a baby grand piano! All four seasons of the year are fantastic in Durango and my house is in a perfect spot for you to enjoy yourself. Free WiFi. Two outside cats and two friendly dogs.
This house is two blocks from Durango's historic Main Avenue and just three blocks from the train depot. Restaurants, brew pubs, art galleries, the river, bike trails and more are an easy walk, bike ride or use our local trolley.
All of my Airbnb guests truly enjoy themselves, whether in town for a night, two nights or even a week. The neighborhood has historic homes, pretty gardens and friendly people.
The Durango transit center is three blocks away! I have coffee at the house, but with so many great spots just a few blocks away, the breakfast choice is yours. You can also cook here in my full-sized kitchen with gas stove.
Two rescue dogs, Boo Radley and Scout will enjoy meeting you, along with two friendly cats who live outside, Alie and Mokie.
The entire house - kitchen - living room - watching TV - hanging out on the front porch.
Interaction with Guests
Very flexible - I work from home but I am also out of the house quite a bit.
Historic neighborhood with Victorian homes - mine was built in 1898 and just a five-minute walk to Main Avenue and all of Durango's great restaurants and shops.
Have fun ! Towels, linens, shampoo and bubble bath provided. Coffee maker on site with coffee and cream and sugar. You have access to the 'fridge and stove and the grocery stores are four blocks away. Make yourself at home with full use of the kitchen and all appliances. Front porch is perfect for relaxing, back yard is "dog patch!" Only toilet paper flushed ever - due to old plumbing. Washer-Dryer. Feel free to play the out-of-tune piano! Stick your dirty dishes in the dishwasher please and most of all, make yourself at home.
I have lived in Durango for 32 years and my friends joke that I am the "Mayor". Having worked in tourism, natural resources, non-profits and public radio I really do know almost everyone here and I can make lots of contacts on your behalf. Guests find my house to be fun, full of laughter and good times.
