About This Listing
We have a large bedroom with 2 double beds in our exposed basement, and a futon. The room has a dorm sized refrigerator, microwave, toaster, dishes, and coffee maker, The downstairs kitchen has an oven and a sink. There is a treadmill and cable t.v. in the kitchen that you may share with the host, as well as a weight bench. The shared downstairs living room has a pool table. We have a deck with a gas grill as well. We also have a canoe, a kayak, and life jackets for use on the Mill Pond.
We have a separate entrance for the basement if you wish to use it. We have a multi-generation household, with adult children and a 5 year old grandchild living with us. The basement full bath is shared with one person. Our home is located on a mill pond, so we have a view of pond wildlife in our backyard. The geese can be a bit noisy in late fall, but generally we live in a quiet, small-town, safe neighborhood
We are walking distance to the city park, aquatic center, mini-golf, library, art center, museum, a quilting fabric store Sheboygan County fairgrounds, Plymouth Dirt Track Racing (which we can hear from 6 to 10 pm on Saturdays) and many nice antique stores. We are a short drive to Road America, Wade House museum, The Bull golf course and Kohler. We are also less than 30 minutes to Whistling Straits golf course, a beautiful free Lake Michigan singing sand beach, and Blue Harbor water park and spa.
Your hosts have lived here for over 30 years, and can help with questions about the area. This is a non-smoking home..

I will be happy to help with local events and directions.
It's nice to be able to walk downtown when the weather is nice.
We do not have any public transit.
No smoking in our home. If you smoke in our home, you will lose a portion of your security deposit. No loud noise after 9 pm. Our washing machine and dryer are available for guests staying at least 3 nights. Our bedroom has brand new carpeting, so please be careful. Some of the closets and cupboards in this room contain our personal belongings, but you are welcome to use the empty drawers and closet space.
This was my second visit to Deb and Steve's house which obviously meant I really liked it the first time! This time was even better. They are such congenial hosts, it was like coming home. They even remembered what I liked for breakfast and gave us useful information about the area.
The home is charming and I can't think of anything I would change.
If I return to the area next year, I would love to stay here again!
Thank you for your warmth and hospitality!!!
Good exchange of information to help planning before the stay. Deb showed me around the parts of the house that were open to my use. Both were friendly, helped with questions (e.g. about getting computer online) & were tolerant of late evening return from our day out. The homemade sourdough bread was wonderful.
Description of description accurate. Family atmosphere. Quiet small town neighborhood, felt very safe. Backyard dock on the water made a pleasant way to relax after the drive.
My standard caveat for people with chemical sensitivities: check with your host beforehand.
My wife stayed Deb and Steve's for two nights and found them to be fantastic hosts. My wife was there with three other women, aged late teens to a retired woman, and they all felt very much at home with the hosts. The house was very clean and as described.
Deb & Steve were wonderful hosts. They were there to greet me after a long day driving around Road America. The house is in a nice quiet neighborhood and is easy to find. I had a quick chat with Deb & Steve as they showed me my room. I really would have liked to have chatted more with them but I was so tired I fell asleep as soon as I hit the bed. After my nap I took a walk to find some food. The downtown area is about a half mile away (you can cut through a creepy cemetery if you're into that) and I was able to find a nice place to have a bite and a drink. The next morning I got up early and Deb was already up and offered me some breakfast. After that I was on my way.
But the house is very pleasant and clean. The bed was very comfortable and the shower is huge. I'll definitely come back whenever I need a place to crash when I am down at the track.
We had a quick trip to Plymouth and Deb and Steve's room met our needs. The room was large and the back yard view of the millpond was nice. The bathroom was clean and they provided cereal and a couple of muffins for breakfast. We met them each briefly and they seemed nice and were helpful with local suggestions.
