I was coming in late and had an important job interview the next morning. Scott's place was welcoming, clean, nicely set up and most importantly very restful.
Next time I'm in Cleveland I'll definitely stay there.
Scott's set up is very conducive to anyone staying one night or much longer. The sitting room is a very comfortable place to relax.
If you find yourself in the Cleveland area, book a stay with Scott, his wife Mona, and their adorable dog Lily! Scott and Mona's place is everything you might expect from a regular B&B, but with superior personalized service, more privacy, and undisturbed silence. I contacted Scott just a few days before Christmas and he was willing to accommodate me and my partner John for a week during our holiday visit to see John's family. Our travel plans were a bit dicey because of the weather, but Scott was totally understanding and made us feel at ease. We kept a late schedule during the week, but Scott and Mona were totally fine with it and had a delicious fruit-filled breakfast waiting for us each morning.
Scott is a great conversationalist! John and I enjoyed spending time with him each morning over breakfast and coffee and trading stories. Mona was usually at work by the time we got out of bed, but we enjoyed our chats with her as well and wished we had been able to spend more time with both of them. Our time spent with John's family was filled with kids, friends, food, cooking, cleaning, electronic devices and the usual chaos of a Christmas holiday. Coming back to the pin-drop solitude of our suite at Scott and Mona's each night allowed us to recharge for the next day's adventures.
Stay here for: good company, peace and quiet when you need it, a firm and exceptionally comfortable bed, nice neighborhood, good coffee, delicious breakfast, lots of closet and drawer space, private bathroom, private sitting room, micro-fridge, and a snuggly dog.
Things that Scott and Mona did to make our stay extra special: playing soothing music in the morning, preparing a beautiful breakfast display, checking in to make sure we were comfortable, leaving a few lights on for us at night, offering to let us park in the garage to keep the snow off of our car, having toiletries available for us to use, asking if we wanted anything additional for breakfast... and just being wonderful people!
Our stay with Scott was lovely. It was like having a full suite....spacious bedroom (w/comfy bed)...sitting room and bath.
There was fresh fruit, yogurt, muffins and yummy coffee each morning....along with interesting conversation.
Great neighborhood....will stay again the next time II visit my cousins.
super great stay !
Scott turned out to be more than just a Host to me for my second stay at his place too and we had some fun time. Had some fun time during Halloween. Learnt a lot of cooking recipes from Scott too. He and Mona (his wife) were very delighted to know of the Indian New year and they even took me out for a dinner which was above and beyond for me. Will definitely love to visit you again Scott!!!
And Lily (their Dog) is just wonderful...so much playful yet understanding and caring...Love ya Lily. Will miss you!!!
It has been a wonderful stay at Scott's place. He is a great host, fun guy to have some good chats with and takes care of your stay as a family member. The location of the home is very near to the highways for an easy commute. The bedroom is exactly the way its described and the place is clean and feels like a home away from home. Would definitely recommend him to anyone who wants a temporary stay in Cleveland and I personally would love to stay for a longer term too!!!! One of the best hosts I have visited..thank you Scott.
We was welcomed in Scott's place like a princess ! His house is perfect and very comfortable. Scott is a perfect host : really nice and helpful. He prepared a delicious breakfast. We will return in Scott's place with pleasure, it's the perfect place to stay on the road between Chicago and New York or Washington !
Scott and Mona were absolutely wonderful hosts. Theif home is beautiful. Very accomodating to everything. Bedroom was very nice as well as rhe sitting room where we could watch TV or use the WIFI for our laptop. Scott had a really nice breakfast ready for us the next morning. All in all it's the nicest home we have ever stayed in with AirBNB. Well done Scott and Mona.
Abstract: Great location, wonderfully accommodating host(s), and a relaxing space & property. I highly recommend this suite & its host.
Details of my stay:
Subjective: What a great experience to stay with Scott & Mona (and Lily)!
Host: Scott was very quick to respond to my Air B&B inquiry and even phoned me once I completed the reservation online. When I arrived in Cleveland Scott was gracious enough to pick me up on his way home. I was invited to join Scott & Mona for a wonderful sunset dinner in their lush, well-manicured backyard.
Accommodations: The room was clean, spacious, and had two beautiful windows looking out onto the front yard. There was an adjacent, private full-sized bathroom with toiletries and fresh towels available (not to mention a soothing rainfall-showerhead). Furthermore, there was an additional room next to "my" room which served as a private living space with TV and magazines, in the event I desired some alone time. The downstairs common areas (reading room, family/TV room, and kitchen) were comfortable and welcoming, although I very much appreciated the family/TV room where I introduced Scott to "Fringe" a TV show! Nutritional options which were available for breakfast included a selection of yogurts, muffins, and delicious fruit.
Assessment: Scott & Mona are salt-of-the-earth and were extremely accommodating through the entire stay in their gorgeous home. Scott is upfront, sincere, and (as he states on his profile) "loves to talk" which was a perfect complement for me (since I love to talk as well)!! The highlight of my stay was when Scott introduced me to the Westside Market and other area attractions before my departure to the airport.
Plan: I would highly recommend this rental to my friends and look forward to returning with my husband soon!
This is the reason we love airbnb!! We were only Scott's second guests, but he was so accommodating for our family! He was welcoming and great to talk to, he had a great breakfast and went above and beyond what we expected. We were so thrilled to stay in such a beautiful and inviting home, and not to mention the extremely comfortable bed and parking to fit our van and trailer. He was a great and hilarious host and we absolutely recommend a stay here!
