The perfect place to feel at home while you’re visiting Rome!
Situated at only 3 minutes from the Vatican, this peaceful and charming place will be an excellent spot to discover and explore the beauty of the Eternal City, while enjoying a quiet and comfortable home.
The apartment has a spacious living room with an open-plan kitchen, and a clean and tidy bathroom with shower. In the bedroom there is a closet, a desk and a highly comfortable double bed, so you'll be able to sleep perfectly :)
Located on the rooftop of a 1910’s building in Prati, a lovely and safe neighbourhood 2 minutes walking to Vatican area.
You will have full access to the kitchen, living room and bathroom (not ensuite), and to the shared sunny terrace from where you enter the apartment.
Interaction with guests
Your room is completely private, but you will be sharing the kitchen, living room and bathroom with Lilli, a young Roman professional in her 30s, who lives in the apartment.
She's not always at home, but she will be very happy to share with you a list of the must-sees in Rome and provide you with some useful advice to help you enjoy the Eternal city. Lilli will be able to speak with you in German, French, English, Spanish and Russian :)
You will be very close to some of the major sights in town and at the same time you will enjoy a truly local neighbourhood where many Romans live and work.
The apartment is very well located, at only 2 min walk to the entrance of the Vatican Museums, 10 min to St Peter’s square and 15 min to the Mausoleum of Hadrian (known as Castel Sant’Angelo) and the historical center of Rome.
Just across the street you will discover the Trionfale market –the largest, cheapest and most authentic market in Rome, where you will immerse yourself into Roman life off of the typical tourist path and get delicious and authentic Italian groceries if you wish.
There also several supermarkets in the area at just a few minutes walk, open every day until 9.30 pm and many other shops of all kinds, pharmacies, bakeries, restaurants, bars, tobacco shops, ATMs etc, and a couple of the most popular shopping streets in Rome (via Ottaviano at 5 min walk, and Via Cola di Rienzo at less than 10 min walk).
Very convenient for visiting the city easily.
The subway station (Ottaviano, Line A) is just at 5 minutes walking distance and only 2 stops away from Piazza del Popolo, 3 stops to the Spanish Steps, 4 stops to the Trevi Fountain and 6 stops (15 minutes) to the central train station (Termini).
There also is a bus stop at less than 1 min walk from the door from where line 492 takes you into the historical center of Rome near to most sights you might wish to visit (Piazza Navona, Pantheon, Campo de Fiori, Roman Forum etc).
FROM Fiumicino Airport:
- 45 min by bus shuttle to Vatican ((URL HIDDEN) + 5 min by local public bus
- 30 min by train to Termini station + 15 min by subway
- 30-45 min by taxi (depending on the traffic).
FROM Ciampino Airport:
- 40 min by bus to Termini station + 15 min by subway
- 50 min by taxi (depending on the traffic).
FROM Termini train station:
- 15 min by subway
- 10-20 min by taxi (depending on the traffic).
Other things to note
The elevator of the building goes until the 4th floor, then there is one flight of stairs to get to the terrace from where you enter the apartment.
Smoking is allowed only on the terrace.
Times of arrival and leaving are flexible. Yet you should inform us some days before for organisation purposes.
As we don't charge a cleaning fee, we ask you to respect the place's cleanliness standards, to observe its tranquility and to treat it with mature consideration.
Please bear in mind that there are some of our personal belongings in the bedroom and in the rest of the apartment that need to be respected.
Hi, we are two sisters who have lived all around Europe most of our lives, until we have decided to move back to our home town Rome a few years ago. We understand about staying in other people's homes and what makes for a good experience.
