Beautiful newly-renovated 1 bedroom apartment on the 6th floor of a bright modern secure building with an elevator. The apartment is on top floor of the building and has large airy windows, high ceilings and polished bleached wooden floors. The view from living room is a uniquely NY experience as it looks down onto the Avenue of the Americas and looks up to a skyline that includes the Empire State building; in the bed room, the hustle and bustle of downtown NY is replaced by large billowing trees that provide a calming oasis with the perfect amount of shade and a wonderful breeze for those warm summer nights. The top floor also means that the noise level which is infamous for NY is faint. The living room has a brand new sofa/crash pad, designer lighting and furniture and A/C (new and powerful). The bedroom has a brand new bed, ample storage and space. There is a fully equipped, newly renovated kitchen and also a newly renovated bathroom with bathtub and power shower. Towels and sheets are supplied. High Speed internet available.
The apartment is so comfortable and is a wonderful base in the city which offers so much, at once a retreat and also at the center of everything with its amazing location. The building sits on a square that is perfect for people-watching with its benches and trees and also a convenient and friendly Deli that is open till late and a florist. There is a washer and dryer facility in the basement of the building that is available for you to use although the option of serviced washes and drying cleaning exists with the laundrette/cleaners just across the street.
The superb location of the apartment means that walking to the west takes you into the heart of the famous West Village with its restaurants, shops and cafes. Further west and only a 10 minute walk away is the Hudson River Park with all its glory - activities (from jogging to canoeing to tennis) and just the sheer beauty of the river. To the East and only a few steps away is bustling SoHo with its many shops, restaurants and fun. Basically, some of the best restaurants in town are on our doorstep. To the south is TriBeca, again a cool neighborhood with plenty of restaurants, looking to the South one sees the Freedom Tower, a new and significant not to mention beautiful landmark in the city . North of the West Village is Chelsea with all its art galleries. The neighborhood no matter which direction is filled with small parks, basketball courts and playgrounds. From the small Vesuvio Playground to Playground of the Americas to Washington Square Park which is only a few blocks away. There are a few gyms also close by with the closest Equinox gym only a few blocks away. The IFC cinema is a few blocks north and to the east is the Angelika, although Union Square with its shops and movie theaters is also not too far away. The perfect location to experience all that New York has to offer.
The location also benefits from the most convenient public transportation links with Spring St (C,E) train a block away. 1, N,R trains are also very near.
It s also never hard to find a cab.
We love our apartment so much - it is so comfortable and we could not ask for a better location! We hope you enjoy your stay as much as how much we love to live there.
It will fit up to 4 guests comfortable. Please no pets or smoking.
Philip was an amazing host! He was so helpful and provided lots of NYC tips and recommendations.
Philip's apartment was perfect. Spacious and so homely and cosy. It was just lovely to come home to after a day of exploring.
It was situated in a great location! Everything was walking distance... Bleeker St, Magnolia Bakery, Cronuts, Joe's pizza, Gray's Papaya, comedy shows, soo many restaurants, bars and shops, Chelsea Markets, etc
I would highly recommend Philip and his apartment. I cannot wait to visit again!

This is absolutely the best place to stay while you're in New York. The apartment is so spacious, light, perfectly located, and it even has a view on the Empire State Building! SOHO is such a great neighborhood with all the shops and restaurants. I absolutely loved waking up here in the light and big bedroom. The living room is a very comfortable space with a big beautiful table to work and have breakfast. Everything was superclean, and the kitchen and bathroom are very new and complete. Philip was a lovely host and very flexible. I will absolutely stay here again and highly recommend it to anyone!

Our stay in Philip's apartment was fabulous. It is spacious, clean and uncluttered. We felt at home straight away thank to Philip's organization and helpful hints. A range of great restaurants and shops are within walking distance, and the apartment is right above a deli that makes fresh omelette for breakfast.
The subway lines were just around the corner and we found it easy to get around and felt safe. The New Yorkers were so friendly and helpful as well. I shall remember fondly the lovely view of the Empire State Building from our window - lit up at night.
Our stay went without any hitch at all including booking, finding the apartment and picking up the key. We were sad to leave and hope to come back again!
