Dennis & Paul were the most gracious hosts...we arrived exhausted and left refreshed and ready for life again. Everything was enchanting...the magical approach on their beautiful road, the chorus of frogs, the extraordinary fragrances wafting about from the expert plantings in their gardens, the canine friends each uniquely charming, the gentlemen witty, thoughtful and each quite endearing. Every travel tip given was perfect. We loved the additional outdoor Hawaiian shower, the pool, the comfortable bed. The only caution is that it is difficult to leave this beautiful place.
Eine sehr schön Lage! Tolle Unterkunft. Sehr nette Gastgeber.
We were in awe of Dennis and Paul's home, the gardens and fensuay were simply amazing it was a beautiful ending to our trip. Dennis and Paul are so knowledgeable and interesting with a wealth of island information. We will deffinately be booking with them again in the future or becoming a neighbor.
My stay with Dennis and Paul was amazing! They have created their own paradise and it is absolutely beautiful. I fell in love with the pictures when I saw them on the site, and the place was every bit as beautiful and relaxing as I thought it would be. It was tough to leave!
Though it is in the middle of the jungle (part of the charm) and about 15/20 minutes drive to nearest small town, it is a good location for viewing everything to do with lava: the volcanic national park is about an hour drive away, and close by you can enjoy a natural hot pool and the beautiful rocky coastline with tidal pools and waves breaking on the rocks. Be sure to ask Paul about his favourite spots on the coast! I would also recommend that you arrive before it gets dark, because then their place gets a bit more difficult to find, the first time around. I would definitely recommend this place, and hope to return sometime!!
Best. Birthday. Ever. We can't stop raving about Dennis an Paul and their magnificent home and hospitality. They had wonderful birthday cake for Judy and celebrated with wine on the lanai. They regaled us about their art work and off the grid design. Petra and of course, miss Felicia were the sweetest of four legged hostesses and we loved them up appropriately.
Their home rivals the finest hotels, art museums, and gardens and Dennis and Paul made us feel like like old friends. We have 4 more days on our two week trip and this may be the highlight. Their recommendations for things to do such as snorkeling and eating were spot on.
